Obama secretly signs the most aggressive cybersecurity directive ever

According to Post’s sources, namely “officials who have seen the classified document and are not authorized to speak on the record,” Pres. Obama signed the paperwork in mid-October. Those authorities explain to the paper that the initiative in question, Presidential Policy Directive 20, “establishes a broad and strict set of standards to guide the operations of federal agencies in confronting threats in cyberspace.”

This is interesting the basic details of the story are that in mid October the president sighed a new directive that will basically outlines how the U,S will operate in terms of a cyber war. I personalty think that this could be the start of a new form of warfare that instead of men and bombs we will use computers to wipe out countries

That doesn't sound very good at all.

A bomb to kill people is just the same as a cyber hack that takes out the power grid and takes out hospital power.

Just because the "rules of war" were not written when the internet existed, doesnt mean at all that all sides can assume its okay to use. Who knows what they can do, or what they would even admit it.

News report "a heavy cyber attack on a military enemy base kills 500 and stall the enemy forces for months" on the news? no way.

disgusting in my opinion.

Aren't you located in the South Pacific? Why would you choose this thread to agitate when your not even am American?

Democrats and republicans are one and the same....I have been saying it for years now!

One pretends to be left, while the other is right. Both right wing! The people who vote for either are highely ignorant but can do no better because they do not even realise there are better choices. It is sad that msm ignores third parties and independants. I mean just look at the statistics, both parties split anywhere between 98% to 99% of the vote each time.

We do have a democracy. A democracy of the ignorant and the privileged!

RT

A secret review has concluded that US President Obama has the authority to launch a preemptive cyber attack on any country on the basis that they are considered a ‘cyber threat’ – even if there is no concrete evidence of this threat.

democracy schomocracy.

The El Presidento will do what he wants when he wants

What he could do though that would be beneficial is improve the quality of schooling so that people could get jobs in in his new order of cyber security.

But it is likely that most people will just moan about it all.
