TV really isnt that bad, you guys just go way over the top. When your watching it you take it for what it is, light entertainment any nothing else.

Its deeper then that. The TV is made to hypnotize with its refresh rate, to put you in a docile state of mind. Its like watching a swinging ticking watch but far more complex. Have you seen footage of a old CRT TV, did you notice the lines moving up the screen witch creates a flicker.

Tv controls us as a whole. 100's of millions Americans watch hours of it a day. Feeding you information on who you should be. Playing on your emotions and trying to traumatize you. The 6 company's that own most of the channels are not to be trusted. They are controlled by the elite to move the herd. Even if you dont watch it your friends do and if they dont their friends do. It effects you either way.

Sorry but I dont believe this at all, you think the people doing the hypnotising dont watch any TV at all? Their kids dont watch TV? They would just be hypnotising and brain washing themselves aswell.

Its not a matter of belief its a matter of how the TV works. You should do a little research and truly see what state it puts your brain waves in but you probably wont because you want to continue watching the tv with out thinking about the bad implications.

TV's not bad and if you find the right shows to watch with your family it won't keep you from talking to each other, it'll give you something more to talk about. Here's my favorites:

Breaking Bad- Great dramatic show about a science teacher who begins making meth. Extremely well written an acted.

The Wire- Another great dramatic show, very complex, huge cast of characters. It's about the police and the drug trade in Baltimore. It's not your typical cop show, though, everything's painted in grey and no one is really a villain. Each season explores a different avenue. The second season involves the docks and dock workers, the third asks the question "what if drugs were legalized," the fourth deals with the schools and the 5th with the media. There's a lot of profanity, so if that's not your thing I'm warning you now. You'll probably have to watch half of the first season to really start grooving on it, because it takes awhile to learn who all the characters are.

Parks and Recreation- A lot of comedies on TV are really mean. It's not obvious or maybe no one cares because the people in them aren't real, but still the jokes come from people putting the people they care about down. Parks and Rec is one of the best comedies on TV and it's rarely mean. There's one character everyone is illogically mean to, but the joke is more that there's no reason to hate the guy. And the show is still one of the funniest I've seen. Warning: the first five episodes are really weak, but after that they steadily get better and better.

Community- There's not many sitcoms that are as inventive as Community. They've done brilliant full episode parodies of action movies, westerns, zombie movies, heist movies and musicals. They've done episodes in claymation and in old style video game graphics. They've done fake clip shows and an episode in the style of a Ken Bruns documentary. And it's really, really funny and the cast is great (you'll probably recognize Joel McHale and Chevy Chase).

Arrested Development- Not on TV anymore. Widely considered one of the best shows ever made, AD is hilarious and surprisingly dense. There's so much going on in each episode, plus masterful call backs to previous episodes and call-forwards to things that happen in another season. It's insane how well written and funny the show is.
