I don't know about you, but Hal Lindsey lost his credibility with me decades ago when he was demonstrated to be wrong about a bazillion times more often than he was right. As the saying goes, even a broken clock is correct twice a day, but I prefer a bit more accuracy in my prophets.

Currently the only way an EMP attack can occur is from a nuclear weapon detonation to my knowledge, or they would have been using this a long time ago to bring a quicker and less lethal end to wars. Or you could do like that show Revolution on ABC and built pendants that have some magical ability to shut down all the world's power at once and plunge us all into another dark age.
