Hurricane Sandy

Could this be the first decently big event that happens in 2012?

Thus far this storm is huge, though its not very strong as it is now... The weather network said the storm would reach from Virginia to Los Angelas

This storm has caused 12 deaths in the caribean...

The worst part (at least for myself) is that it looks like this storm will actually hit ME... up in Ontario Canada... Im always down for a good storm, but it looks like it might bring snow

Thats right.... A Canadian that hates snow. We exist!!

The next few days will tell the story...

2012 is turning out to be a flop of a year in my humble opinion

Lets see what happens... eh

At this point, it could hit anywhere.
I'm on the east coast of Canuckia, and they've warned us to be prepped.
But we're used to hurricane/ tropical storm warnings here.
Never amount to much.
I wouldn't want to be right on the water though.
Worse thing for us is the flooding.
Last bad storm we got they had to evacuate residents by boat.

I'm in the DC Metro area. We're keeping a close eye on this thing as no one is sure where she's going to make landfall. That combined with the sheer size of this storm & the fact that it's going to meet up with 2 other storm systems is what is making this so frightening. Dominion Power held a news conference around noon letting the public know what the utility companies are doing to prepare but regardless of where she makes landfall we're in for one heck of a ride as the combining systems are going to cause her to stall out over us for 36-48 hours. Yahoo news has a decent update on the storm, I'll post the link.
