Religion WILL only lead you AWAY from God.

all I do is try to connect with God....and it doesn't seem it likes me very much.

Out of curiosity, WHICH God are trying to connect with?

Reason for asking: HE is not an IT and He loves you far more than you can even comprehend.

Well it certainly won't get anyone anywhere in particular that's for sure. "What does it profit a man to gain the WHOLE world, but lose his own soul (passion, character, personality, charm, aliveness)".

I understand. But at the same time, I don't want to do nothing.

The Tao is what is happening presently. It cannot be controlled. Humans believe they can control and this is the mistake. What is happening is happening - the mind just tanslates and narrates.
To want things to be different is insanity, the human condition.
All you get to do is watch.

When the human condition is dropped there is unconditional love. It definitely feels divine. It is indescribable.
When 'God' is found it is known to be what 'they' have been speaking about.

I meant God is a word, conceptulized. God can be referred to as the source. What the source actually is we do not know. A better word for God is simply Mystery.
