Hi, all.

I was out with my camera taking pictures at the County Park where I live. I've taken an interest in photography and wanted to get some practice. I cheated and used the auto setting, but I was more interested in composition.

It was a beautiful day today and fall is in the air. The trees were magnificent and that is what I set out to take pictures of. The park has some interesting structures, so I took pictures of them, too. I actually took about 40 pictures, but I picked what I thought were the most interesting.

The park is called "Eagle Point Park" and is located in Clinton, Iowa. There is a brief history of the park here, but there aren't any rail cars, any more.

So, here are the pictures I took with a brief explanation of each one.

Park entrance

Lodge building that can be rented for events.

The Tower

Lower stairway

Upper stairway

A couple shots from the top of the tower

The trees were magnificent

Finally, a few shots of the mighty Mississippi River

Hope you enjoyed the pics.
