What will the world be like in 300 years from now - will it be like star trek? Will there really be starships and society on earth living in harmony with no money?

What will the world be like in 1000 years? Will a human we recognise now still be recognizable the same? or will engineering artifical manipulation of genes redesigned humans into a significantly better upgrade?

What will the world be like in 10000 years. Will many humans be left on the earth; or will of left earth to live in space or in a virtual reality?

Would anyone like to postulate/predict on the shape of things to come?

100 years time, verticle farms in city centers, only public transport, huge self contained 'cities' farms, homes, recreation, composters where everything goes, including dead bodies, the sea/oceans, one vast fish farm. As in some cities already, they will be down as deep as they are high, the super rich will live under huge domes on Mars, nice clean air/water. the moon wont look like it does now, all the regalith will have been scrapped off for minerals and H3.

I suspect anything we imagine regarding the future will be similar in outcome as all those marvels imagined as 'The Future' in the early 1900s.

Just watch the original 1927 Metropolis.

It'll be interesting if Singularity happens in our life time. I look forward to it, especially if things work out similar to Iain M. Banks Culture Series.

Fun stuff.

The culture series rocks! (also Alistair Reynolds work too)

Capitalism is the growth tool the human race is using to get to the singularity. Strong AI will be the game changer

There will be 3 cities with electric and biological (artificial athmosphere) protection shield around them, outside these cities is a radioactive wasteland and mutated human beasts, rats and cockroacheas. Cities are filled with females 80%, male fetuses are not so strong to survive in the wombs being waeker to chemicals. There will be breeding and selection of the fittest canditates among females to select who will be "workers" and who are healthiest to produce male babies.

Nah! I dont like that future, sounds a bit bleak to me. Unless of course I can be one of the 20%

Germany is where the scientists successfully extended the advanced math concepts such as critical mass, yield, so forth and so on.

Area 51 was the Lindbergh baby that grew up after being disappeared by the Russians.

Same machine "some dance to remember, some dance to forget".

Lol well warmer the climate is more there is male boys born. There is also studies that chemicals we use today like hair dye, deodorants etc are allready risking birth of male babies.

Well every male would be cherished and have a bit god-like status in my scenery. I saw this in my dreams and there is more

This above is what I daydream about. lol

Seriously.... Who knows what it will be like. What will happen tomorrow is anyones guess much less 300 plus years away.

I will assume though the continents will definitely not look the same and the Earth will have to find her balance once again. The money changers have to be changed... in a blink of the eye, otherwise we wont have human life or the human life we do have left will be altered to some degree.

Since we are moving from the Iron Age to the Golden Age, there will be huge changes. Humans will obtain much greater abilities than they have now. Telepathy, levitation, personal healing ability. There will be no crime and true transparency of decision making will exist. Space travel and much interaction with aliens. Populations will be much lower and the Earth will be cared for and not abused. The bad news for most of us is that we will not be here to enjoy this. About 85% of humans do not have the consciousness development to participate in what is coming. The Earth's frequency is rising and the 85% will simply not be able to reincarnate here. They will go to primitive planets, needing population. In about 100 years, all of the lower consciousness humans will have died and in the meantime only higher consciousness beings are born on Earth. The end of Earth as a prison and slave planet, is almost finished and the great damage done to our planet, will be healed with the help of alien friends. Death is the natural way to change over a populace and it is very efficient. No one is discarded; everyone eventually reaches the higher levels of consciousness. Remember that the great yogis have told us that we start as mineral. then become plants then animals and then sentient. As sentient beings, we have a very long road to creating universes to maintain the balance. However long it takes, we will all get there. The tools of advancement always include true humility, growing your aura, helping others and creating love. I'll see you on some primitive planet where we will struggle to keep body and soul together, you know, true lessens in humility. Advancement means committing to the greater good and using our ever increasing power, to nurture and protect those on the journey. Be at peace. All is well and always will be.

If we stick to the path we are on, likely influenced by Agenda 21 and subsequent documents, then we will end up with an exceedingly unintelligent race.

Intelligence will not matter, only your education. Those with the money, will have an education, everyone else will live in their little shoebox and be taught to like what they have, because they have to. The green movement will be the most restrictive system man has seen, followed devoutly by the idiotic masses, placing them in pretty little boxes to be managed by the system.

That is of course, unless there really is a golden age where information is unlocked within the mind.. I doubt it though.

Me too.

First we must lose our fascination of multitasking. You think texting and driving is bad now

Who here would gladly be 'wired' into a virtual reality of their choosing ?

Imagine a matrix where that player can be plugged into any game zone they want.

They could pick anything from hard core AD&D to Avatar or Time Bandits to Traveller.

Stories could unfold before their very own eyes like War of the Worlds to Warcraft.

Now put every game zone on a big-brother reality TV where only 1 person survives to the end.

The players' popularity (voting like Big Brother) could be a sort of real money income depending on how much advertising is linked to that game world.

I can imagine this happening one day. Im not sure how far away it. We already are to a large extent already immersed in the virtual word.

I'll be honest...I've never really thought about it. I think about how far our universe strech, and where we came from, but as to where we're going? I'm stumped. At this point in the game, I think it's anyone's horse wins...We can go all esoteric and paint a picture of spirit evolved and soul evolutionized, or go materialistic 3D with GMO humans, cars that fly, talk and make coffee and an E.T. as your next door neighbour, or the third option is the doom porn channel, with destruction, desolution and despair.

My first instinct is to go all esoteric, but I reckon only by the 300yr mark, before that, we have to go through a bit of the doom porn channel with interspersed "ads" of the materialistic 3D world of gadgets and gizmos.

Who knows? I'm a strong believer that NOW is the only time that ever has, and always will exist. The past and the future is like before being born and after being dead...no one knows for sure if anything existed during those periods.
