Prime Minister John Key today announced he has requested an inquiry by the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security into the circumstances of unlawful interception of communications of certain individuals by the Government Communications Security Bureau.

there's a lot of sucking up going on - Def Sec Penatta has judt visited NZ - he lifted a ban on NZ warships visiting US bases and expressed an interest in stationing US troops in New Zealand.
US Marines & NZ Soldiers have trained together in the US , and also in New Zealand, for the first time in decades.
