Even if it has improved it doesn't make your claim, that certain crimes could have been avoided because of the laws on the books, true.

You yourself have pointed out how some perps have a string of deportations. Obviously deporting them didn't stop them from coming back and committing more crimes. When exactly are these laws going to cut down on these types of crimes? You can give it all the time you want, but my money is on amnesty or open borders happening first.
