There is no question that Obama not only cowers from standing up to these countries, he is lost as to what should be done. Every night he goes to bed hoping these problems will just go away on their own, because he has no backbone, and just can't stand up to anyone, other than political opponents. Instead of responding to the terror attacks, the first thing he and his administration did was attack Romney for his statement. I found this statement in the article rather ironic:

Most of the Americans we lost that day had never considered the possibility that a small band of terrorists halfway around the world could do us such harm.

I would like to slightly change that statement to this:
Most Americans had never considered the possibility that one man named Obama could do us such harm.

Agree 100%, with this statement.

I expect MORE from a President, who lived on "hope and change". I see NO change, when it comes to the Middle East and its Problems.

Period.

lol? So you're saying American corporations did not profit from the war on terror? Live in a fantasy much? No bid contracts in Iraq? Arm sales?

EXPERIENCING THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX’S TRADE SHOW

U.S. Companies Get Slice of Iraq's Oil Pie

The oil services companies Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Weatherford International and Schlumberger already won lucrative drilling subcontracts and are likely to bid on many more in one of the world’s richest markets for companies that drill oil wells. These days, that is not the oil majors.

Which 'freedoms' are they taking away? and whom are 'they'?...

Or did you mean the freedoms taken away with the Patriot Act??

The Muslims are taking away America's freedoms like they have been doing all weekend.

If the protestors respected Obama and his naked aggression, they would have stayed home.

Like when America was in Iraq, they respected George Bush which is why they never
attacked US soldiers, ever!

What would you like Obama to do? Invade a small 3rd world nation and claim their natural resources for corporate America?

The only people Obama needs to stand up to is his political opponents--International law is not a domestic US concern.

Obama cannot end a War, that is perpetual.

He can change his stance, and stop aiding these countries that support it, and harbor those with extremist views. Especially those Leaders, that have extremist attitudes.

He could have at least said it was a terrorism act, instead of blasting Romney. His priorities are messed up.

Obama's weak war on terror? Really? This President has actually done more to hunt down and exterminate more terrorists than any other in history. He quit waging Bush's war on Islam and started waging an actual war on terrorism throughout the world. It doesn't change that it is a fruitless pointless war, you can't and won't ever eradicate terrorism until you address the policies that actually cause it. Propping up dictators and turning a blind eye to their human rights violations chief among them.

It is long past time we quit doing business with nations that embrace and embody those things we say we are against. Russia and China are some of the worst human rights violators out there and in the case of especially China we allow business to exploit that. And then we sit back and wonder why the peasants in these nations hate us. It makes zero sense and we have a long way to go before we can be seen as anything but a hypocritical nation.

Who makes those weapons in the hands of those "terrorists" ?

Those Ak-47s,RPGs,and everything else?

That would be Russia,China, the big two plus their sweet heart oil companies, and mineral rights.

The vilification of the US is BS when someone makes no mention of that WAR PROFITEERING.

He can call all US troops home, instead of deploy more, in even more countries. He could remove some of the "bloat" in the US defence budget. He could even open a new investigation into the crimes by the US that started this war.

Just some ideas

None of this is about profits, or politics. The USA is afraid this its been sticking its collective noses in places it don't belong for so long, that the "terrorists" are lashing out at the USA. Now were afraid of reprisal from these countries. look at Iran, threatening our bases if Iran comes under attack. they are testing Obama resolve. If Israel attacks Iran, Iran in turn attacks Israel and USA The Israelis needing our help have set the stage for their actions to draw us in. My only hope is that china and Russia don't follow through with their backing of Iran. After all wasn't the Iranians getting their Enrichment Tools from Russia?

Your point? This thread is about the US war on terror.

You're just backtracking and deflecting.... at first you said the US corps didn't profit off the war, when the clearly did. Now you're going on about different countries profiting?

From the article.

Obama, to his credit, has used predator drones to kill terrorists, rather than capture them. But this alone does not a leader make. And what good are drones behind the scenes if publicly the President is soft out of the gate after an act of carnage against America?

As Dennis Miller wisely noted, this administration will harp on a made up war on women, but not cite the very real war on America that has been thrust back onto the main stage. One that has been going on for centuries, and one that will never be defeated until we have a commander-in-chief who not just gets it, but who is willing to fight it head on.

Thats the whole point. Hes too worried about campaigning, and blaming Romney.

What do you want him to do? Drop a bomb? I really don't get it.

He already dissed Egypt of not being a true ally, which seems to be a warning to me.

Perfect, too busy worrying about his political stature. Unwilling to step in on religious fanatics hell bent on total destruction of anything that doesn't conform. Like i said they are testing Obama's resolve. Not having to worry about the war monger Bush any longer.

I have said it before, I will say it again, if you think your President will get tough on Muslims, no matter what they do or say, you are kidding yourself.
He wont condem them, he mostly say's sorry if your troops kill a few attackers but he says little if UK or American guys get killed in war.
Our UK leaders are the same, if our troops kill a few Afgans by mistake it makes news for weeks, if our troops die not a word it said.
This is a very odd year we are in, who is our foe? Afgans? or Iran? or is it the UK & USA leaders in government?
