White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney says,'This is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims."

Excerpt:

The protests which began earlier this week have expanded rapidly across the Middle East on Friday.

Protesters attacked the U.S. Embassies in Tunis and Sudan; Tunisian protesters smashed windows and lit fires inside the embassy compound, while gunfire could be heard. Images of a dark column of smoke over the Tunisian site have circulated on the Internet Friday.

According to a page on the State Department’s website describing what an embassy is, an attack on an embassy is considered an attack on that country.

“Because an embassy represents a sovereign state, any attack on an embassy is considered an attack on the country it represents,” the page reads.

Obviously this is backtracking from intial responses to these threats. November elections precede all efforts to prevent another war. Expect Obama to go to war post-election.

Right... That's why every picture and news report shows people burning American flags and stomping on them.

Perhaps Jay Carney could explain that to the dead American diplomat?

Is Jay Carney really that stupid or does he just think that everyone else is?

Its blow back, plain and simple.

The vid was an excuse.

Us Foreign policy is ludicrous, we need to see that we are not viewed as liberators abroad, we are the oppressors.

Point 1: An attack on American soil (embassies are) directed at any American citizen or group of citizens is an attack on America.
Point 2: The murder of U.S. servicemen is an attack on America.
Point 3: The murder (however inadvertently caused) of a U.S. diplomat is an attack on America.
Point 4: An attack on our First Amendment is an attack on America.
Point 5: Being butthurt doesn't mean there's a lack of freedom of expression, it means there is an abundance of it.
Point 6: I'm done with this. It's war.

Can someone check to see what is in Carney's coffee mug?? When the protestors are screaming Death to America, Death to England and Death to Israel..... Hmmm... I suppose they are directing their rage at the United States and other nations that associate with the United states... They even protested at the Swiss embassy in Tehran yesterday. The ever neutral Swiss... Setting fire to US embassies, KFC, Hardees.... all in protest of a make believe film. Don't think so Jay... The coordinated attacks on US embassies that just happened to coincide with 9/11 and the fact that this movie "trailer" has been out since June. Where was the ire back in June??

They simply hate all things associated with the West and if Carney is the DUMB to miss that.... the writing is clearly on the wall regarding who he speaks for and who he works for. Perhaps Obama and his staff should start pulling their heads either out of the sand or out of their butts..

What an embarrassing statement to make.... Sucks to be Carney who clearly sold his soul to Obama...I wonder if he even believes all of the crap that comes out of his own mouth...

Meh....

What a steaming load!

Of course it’s directed at the US of A and this president's ME policies! This ‘movie’ excuse is just a straw man; a complete diversion from the truth! They will never take responsibility for their failed foreign policy!

I can't WAIT to vote in November!! It may not work but I'll sure feel better afterwards!!

Jay Carney then said, "Hey there, call me crazy, but here's my number. Just call me baby."

Then his head exploded from the outrageous lies he just told.

Funeral services will be held at the local Burger King. (Obama had a coupon)

I'm sorry. But if they are going to spew this garbage, then I will reply in kind.

Peace out, S&F, OP.

OK,
Just so I'm clear in my mind about this, the US Govt. and MSM honestly expect me to believe that all of the protests at all the Embassy and Consulate compounds and bomb threats at 2 Universities in the US are all because of a movie that nobody has seen. Not our policies or anything else, but a poor excuse for a movie.

Right. Seems legit

Hes not stupid there worried that this will be seen as a referendum on Obama policies. As long as they blame the movie they don't have to admit that peace through appeasement doesn't work.He doesn't have to admit they helped put a terrorist organization in charge in Egypt. And they can continue to deny they were warned by Egypt two days before it started.Apparently the Egyptian government told the embassy but they forgot to tell the white house??? And most importantly admit Romney was right when he criticized Obama's foreign policy .
