Sorry for the confusion but then i was working for 2 kindergartens so i resigned from 1 cos the pressure of 2 was too much for me. So i am still a kindergarten teacher and have been doing it for 1 year and a bit.

I like brunch and a mid-evening meal.
Like hot steaming stews with dumplings
and olive oil/vinegar pasta salad.

Here's my favorite breakfast. I eat it most days.

A two egg omlette, with mexican cheese, some mild habanero peppers or some salsa in it. Two slices of whole wheat toast with butter and honey, given by a friend who keeps his own bees. The stuff of life.

i love the variety of the meals being posted

Mexican cheese sounds nice...

and stew & dumplings mmmmMMMMMMmmmm........

haven't had that in ages

i will say that its true what americans think about the quality of british food. it is SHOCKING. however, it does seem to be getting better (although slowly)

but also, our best food isnt even british - its indian!

DO you mean the american impression of your fare is shocking,

or that the food itself is shocking?

I must say, calling a food "bangers and mash" hardly makes me want to put it in my mouth.

i mean the food itself

America has better burgers and pizza than us (also, mexican food is virtually non-existant here)
Germany has better sausages than us
italy has better ice cream, ham and pasta than us
france has better wine and cheese than us
denmark has better beer than us (carlsberg export - mmm....)

and this is just a few examples!
