I do not know how to embed a video so I will post the site - Youtube clip that is 6.49 mins in duration. The title is Lonely Old Dog Has His Dying Wish Come True - To Be Loved.

It is difficult to watch - I howled from the start to finish but that is because I am an empathic and very sensitive. I cried for the Dog but I felt extreme joy to see the extent of the kindness from the human beings who intervened.

Please watch should you feel that way inclined. I did a search and the title did not come up.

Much Peace...to every Animal on this planet.

NB. I may have posted in the wrong thread - but that is a mistake made due to howling and wanting to share the post. Please move if necessary.

Thank you very much for embedding the video. I truly hope that the video is inspiration for anyone who has not seen human kindness for awhile.

The Dog on the other hand need to be helped and as much as I howled - and I mean HOWLED - from the start I am enriched by the thoughtfulness of the human beings who stepped in and acted - when so many did not. All my pets are rescues and they have given me immeasurable joy and love and faith.

Much Peace...to every Animal...

I hope you also felt the kindness of the human beings involved. I am going to light a candle now as a celebration of life - all life - furry and otherwise. Much Peace ...

Yeah. Humans are kinder to animals than to other humans. If this were a human, nobody'd care.

My cynicism is kicking in major overdrive tonight.

I was drawn to the this thread by the Title, Tears in my eyes now.
I love Dogs, so much , but how can our hearts embrace the suffering, of all in this sad world?
I have got through by shrinking , because I cannot face it.
The suffering of these beautiful creatures relying on us to open the door to feed them, to reassure them.
Of humankind, of the wild beasts, the tamed beasts.
All of those souls behind eyes, begging for peace.
I have to shrink, or else sorrow would engulf me surely.
A dead shrunken coward, who cannot feel, tahnk you OP for giving me another chance.

Truly I howled out aloud as soon as it started. I cried for the entire time. Later on I felt a beautiful feeling deep inside. I now have a candle burning - that is for the beautiful Dog and all other animals and I have another candle that is for the human beings.

I know how you feel and being sensitive is damn difficult in a world sooooo filled with pain in all its forms. I always tell myself I will be stronger for having shared their story. I was pulling it together as I watched the kindness of the humans towards the Dog and as the lady sprinkled flower petals on him I fell apart because they really poured their heart into the dignity they gave him.

I had to share - it has a happy ending and that actually signifies a new beginning and we need as many of those as we can generate.

Much Peace...to every Animal...

Spay/Neuter your pets people! , millions and millions of homeless and abandoned pets are euthanized a year because of irresponsible owners..

Thanks for your communication , perhaps that is it , we have to open our hearts to suffering and not run away in order to light that candle you describe.
Keep up your love, and know there are many lost, but not forever, we both know all that live is us, and we are them.

Just remember it is the beautiful Dog who touched your heart - you faced his pain and shared his story. His story is now less painful because of the wonderful kindness that came to him via the humans who gave him his dignity and now that others are sharing his story - his pain is lessened - because we share the load. Our conscience is aware of what is right and wrong.

I probably won't watch it again because I will bawl and howl but the beautiful feeling deep inside me is the knowing I sent him and that he has returned to me. I was not there to help him and I care that it took so damned long for him to receive kindness and the least I can do is let him be my Teacher so that I can learn.

Much Peace...
