Bolivian police on Tuesday confiscated two tons of uranium that was being stored at a building in central La Paz located near the U.S. and Spanish embassies. Four people, all of them Bolivian nationals, were arrested while they were transferring the uranium from one vehicle to another, Deputy Interior Minister Jorge Perez said. With all the craziness in the world as of late, this scares the hell out of me.
its not the fact that its out there. Its the fact that where one group can acquire
so can many others. And right near the us embassy. Yet this isnt being covered by us media?
Just goes to show you that times are changing, and not for the better.

As do a lot of people. I have been contemplating exodus.
As far away from the states as i can get.

Would it really be so hard to get a nuke into South America? Much of South America hates the United States. Any of the ALBA Nations could be hiding a nuke or nukes for China or Russia. They may even want one for themselves. Can the 'Missile defence system' deal with a strike from as close as South America? How low could they send the nuke? How many would they send?

The whole Cuban Missile Crisis might be nothing compared to what is hidden in South America right now.

Imo its thanks to the patriot act, that no msm here in the states is covering it.
If its a detriment to National Security....I.E. a current investigation they wont cover it.
They might not ever say anything about it and sweep it under the rug.

I was just holding it for someone......

Yeah right. 2 tons of enriched uranium?

You can make a couple of nukes with that.

The article reads that its not weapons grade, but in the picture it shows "Enriched"
on the side of the containment vessel.

But it also says under the foto that it's a file foto, so the foto is not connected to the case

Touche....must have missed that.
Why would they show "Evidence" when they didn’t even release names yet.

What scares me more than the possibility this material could be used for several dirty bombs is the fact there are 84 missing nuclear suitcase bombs the USSR had their agents carry into other countries after they recalled them all. These things could be anywhere. I hardly hear anything about it any more. This thread makes the thread about a specially equipped helicopter surveying radiation levels in San Francisco more troubling. The D.O.E. had helicopters like that to scan for nutrinos from nuclear weapons. They used them to search for weapons. I don't see how this helicopter is any different. And this story in S. America just makes the search in San Francisco that much more curious.

Police pounced when they learned the people in possession of the uranium planned to meet Tuesday with a potential buyer, the colonel said.

If you find out who that "potential buyer" was, let us know.

Edit: Found something new. Apparently it's just ore.

www.theepochtimes.com...

Deputy Interior Minister Jorge Perez told the EFE news agency that four Bolivians were arrested in connection with the uranium, which looked like chunks of sedimentary rock. The rocks was being stored in a building in cloth sacks.
---
“For now, we can report that we presume the existence of uranium in these materials,” Carlos Romero, the minister of the presidency, told the Bol Press. He added that the substance still needs to be studied, and according to a preliminary study, the amount of actual uranium is minimal.

Thanks Fox News for presenting a file photo of enriched Uranium. Fear mongering MSM. Shame on you!

The stuff may have been uranium concentrates from a mine,in a neighbouring country.... but was not enriched......
How ironic they stored it so close to those embassys....

I dont understand why they did not let the meet go down, and grab the buyer too.....(nothing said bout that)
You dont suppose.......false flag?
Propaganda for the fear factor.....keeps the people puckered, and accentuates those who supposedly are desirous of obtaining nukes.....
(by inference terror groups or rogue states....) as well as kudos to the cops....(bigger budgets)
It would be in fact, a cheap ploy to produce, and well worth the effort.
(Imagine if Gunwalker had run successfully for a year or so more) bye bye 2nd ammendment maybe or at least severe restrictions.....They make the news to move us the way they want us to go.....
As Uranium is heavy id say two tons wouldnt be a large volume of material.....
The picture of the tube of enriched uranium, though marked file photo, is clearly there to get the maximum "juice" from the people who dont see its a fake photo....
This is the way the mainstream manufactures YOUR opinions.....
I sincerely doubt that a large percent of the "NEWS" is accurate, or unbiased anymore.....
I mean from almost all sources too......
If there is truth in this one, considerthe NAZI connection too....This is where they went to start again after the war......who knows it could be more 4th reich manouvering.....??

I don’t know about the Nazi connection. i know there were a ton of turncoats at the end of ww2, that came here during operation paperclip. but i fail to see the connection.

I fully believe behind every lie and deception there is a grain of truth,

lol this story stinks, how do you just come across someone holding onto 2 tons of plutonium, i mean really was he in a local cafe barking i got plutonium come one come all? lol if anything it was a trumped up story so that we have a story somewhere out there in the world saying there are people trying to move this stuff, couple weeks back there was missing or suspected missing radioactive materials from Pakistan? we will keep hearing more stories like this till they are sure the world/our country has read it and gone omg!, then they will release the mini bombs in the cities and round us up into cages and pens

not to mention it really could be another materials, its says they didnt even test it yet, there are many things for normal uses that have radiation in them, for all these idiots know they were moving hospital waste

Your headline "Bolivian Police Seize 2 Tons of Uranium"

The article you link to "There is the possible existence of uranium in the screening solids, but it deserves research and scientific expertise"

and

Private geophysicist Jorge Telleria expressed doubts that the material found was uranium because it is considered unlikely that a uranium dealer would store the material in bags and transfer it by truck, knowing the danger that exists.

So please try and be a nit more accurate. You are fear mongering as bad as the mainstreem media - who do you work for anyway? Fox News?

So this is 2 tons of Uranium ore,
Not depleted Uranium,
Not "enriched" Uranium, as they clearly want us to believe,
Uranium has a variety of uses other than military.
FOX News Group at its best.
Never let the truth interfere with ramping up the fear factor at every available opportunity.
I call BS.

PEACE,
RK.

That was not originally in the article. I was just the messenger, and we dont shoot messengers.
Your attacking me and calling me a fear monger. do you think that your the only one that would have noticed it?

2 tons of uranium is a hell of allot. Little boy(Hiroshima) had 64 killos of fissionable material (or 140 pounds). There`s almost 40 times that here.

Tottally didn`t see that it wasnt processed. Thats probably why no american news companies were covering it. If it were a danger to the US every citizen would know that there rights were about to be violated to keep you safe from the terrorists that are after the sweet air of freedom the United States offers....
