I don't have TV or listen to radio but I had to stay in a hotel for a few nights last week, and I turned on the box to see if I could find any documentaries. OMFG - I could literally feel my brain shrinking even just after a few minutes.

Uh sorry many questions but i get what you are saying overall. What is "MSM"?
What scenario are you referring to from 1984?, because I was born in 1983.
I have found my inner Truth & focusing on that has made my life during these so called tough times better in many ways!

1984 is a book; check out a plot synopsis. It's scary how much it seems like we are headed towards the future that the book envisions.
