Hi i know boeing did a test on their hypersonic experimental plane X51 "Wave Rider" yesterday 14th August but i can find no reports on how they got on. Any ideas anyone?

according to this it was a screw up.

One of the fins broke off before the engine could start.

shame, I would have liked to hear how it went.

So does that mean they lost the craft or just aborted the test after the fin failure?

no mention but I suspect that the fine broke off while the launch rocket was running (after release) to build up speed before the main x-51 engine could function.
