So we agreed then?

On the latter part of your statement we are in agreement, I am not so sure about the former. I found you entire sentence to be a contradiction and being the Aristotlean that I am, I would argue that there are no contradictions and when confronted with one it is prudent to check the premise. Checking your premise was what I was after. You tell me, are we in agreement?

You see, this is exactly what we need; people from both sides of this issue (not just the Chick-Fil-A issue but the entire Christians vs. LGBT issue) need to apologize for their hateful behaviour and start treating each other with mutual respect.

The gay rights movement is its own worst enemy at times.

THIS i agree with.

The other day with the "kiss in", my wife and I were in agreement that it might be the worst way that they can protest something. The first thing you have to understand is that public displays of affection make people uncomfortable, regardless of sexuality. There is a saying you use when you see such things...."Get a room".

This is the most frustrating thing to me. I want to see general acceptance and equal rights. I would rather we live in a world where petty things like "what" you are didn't matter. And doing things like that (and the behavior referenced in the video) only make things worse.

Hate and vile? I don't see it from that video. He made his points, didn't call HER any names. He even said, "You deserve better." I thought she did an excellent job of "turning the other cheek." Maybe that will rub off on the intolerant corporation that she works for.

If having a different opinion is intolerant I suppose you are in the same boat as them. Sucks that every single person in the whole world is intolerant, since that's a catchy new way of saying you don't agree with me.

She is one class act.

Hate usually spills over to the innocent. And he got fired for his. And now he's looking for a job in the worst U.S. economy in history. Maybe it'll change his perspective a bit.

Light attracts darkness, and darkness will do what it can to extinguish this light. Peter Gabriel, however, has a great lyric in the chilling song Biko:

You can blow out a candle, but you can't blow out a fire"

The Eternal Flame is unafraid of darkness, it is the other way around.

How how cute . . . bigots forgive.

Utterly meaningless. They shall have no forgiveness for the bigotry and hate they spew.

So are you saying Rachel is a bigot? Did I misunderstand something here? Are you saying that the employees are bigots if they work there? What did Rachel say or do to make her a bigot.
I'll wait...

Bigots tend to generalize and lump certain people into a group they then disparage. For example, you taking a young girl who is employed for Chic-Fil-A and assuming she holds the same views as Dan Cathy. What the hell, they all look alike, right?

"Oh no, don't get me wrong, some of my best friends spew hate...there's not a bigoted bone in my body."

Yeah, I'll go ahead and take the scolding from the mods for this one: We understand that you're an idiot, but we can't figure out exactly why. Do you even have two neurons to rub together to make a thought?

What the hell is this? I just wasted a two minutes listening to an interview about a customer complaint and apology? Seriously? Why is this such a "viral" action? Everyone's seen the dozens of videos of people fighting, jumping over the counter, assaulting, harassing, etc employees and customers in other chains and no one's said any of them who held their composure were "class acts" or "great examples for the rest of us to follow."

Why do so many people give a crap about some guy making some accusations, from his car in a non-threatening manner, then apologizing after he lost his job for posting the video online? I just don't see how this is at ALL relevant to our day and age...???

In the years to come future generations will look back on this in a similar fashion to how we look back on the American apartheid.

right....you have an employee that worrys about losing her job if she doesn't respond like this, and compare that to a person on the recieving end of discrimination....do you know the phrase "comparing apples to oranges", or is that also "liberal" to you?

Wait wait, this post with all its stars made me laugh out loud, and is a PRIME example of how people with an agenda dont even pay attention to whats going on , they just champion the cause no matter WHAT facts are available or how vile it is.......the ends justify the means......

This man, was NOT on the receiving end of ANY discrimination.........he states clearly multiple times that he is not gay..........But i guess that doesnt matter does it? I suppose the facts are irrelevant, when youre trying to make a point.......

An above poster was right, you guys are your own worst enemy

Apples to oranges? Yeah your right, you have a bigotted hate filled man taking his rage out on an innocent person working a job, and a person with apparently more integrity than this man, forgiving him for HIS intolerance and vitriol.......

Good on her..........

Fell flat? Yes, because majority of LGBT people have better time on their hands than to go to a fast-food chain and kiss each other.

Majority know it is a stupid idea.

There was no an official, nation-wide meeting that only LGBT could go to to talk about a kiss-in.

The fact that a huge chunk of religious people went and promoted unequal rights by buying from there is something that needs to be looked at.

Grow up.
