Most folks suspect that the Gihon Spring, near Jerusalem and down in the Kidron Valley, was special for the "City of David's Palace" and the "Temple of Solomon" and they were intentionally held in close proximity to each other.

The Spring held the legend for being the best water and sweet water, though it is said to have gone bitter in recent time.

The following study documents how the spring used to pulse, but how the changes of modern city and pollution are changing the spring away from is special character in the times of David and Solomon.

Gihon Sping was was loaded with more minerals that any other nearby water. Lots of potassium, magnesium, and the healty elements that makes many spring waters healthful to drink and grow gardens from the minerals in the water. Gihon Spring fed the King's Garden, and great tunnels were dug to get the water spread around the city.

One can also note that the Sping has Boron, and Boron is special in lots of ways to keep down arthritis and remove dangerous things like fluorine from the body. Boron is needed for good vinyards and abundant grapes, and is also essential for grains. David's temple was built over a grain threshing area.

In the times of Jesus, the Lords Supper was composed of Grape product and Grain, both being known for good Boron content. Could it be that the gods noticed the special water, and much the same as they valued their extensive river culture methods around Ur and Eridu.

David's Gihon Spring was so special that is was named for the fabled Gihon River in the Garden of Eden that was in the area of the City of Ur and Eridu, where the great rivers merged with the Persian Gulf of today.

One must consider that the water of Gihon Spring was important as it was used to annoint Solomon as King of Israel long ago. Plus, the water of Gihon Spring was an essential part of the Solomon's Temple practices, and also the Palace of David and Solomon's drinking water.

Gihon Spring had a healhty supply of Boron and no fluoride. The region of Nothern Israel, and the areas where there is Boron in the water have near zero rates of Arthritus.

The Gihon Spring fed the King's Garden, down the slopes from the City and David into Kidron, and the lands watered with the water became increased in Boron and the fruits and vegetables grown there had adequate Boron, and not too much, to be healthy for plant and human life.

These days, many areas are just now learning that Boron is an essential trace nutrient for human health and longevity, and there is much thought being given to the effects of Boron on human health now. Even Senior Vitamins now have Boron in the ingredient list. The US health is highly affected by low boron soils for produce, with the exception being areas of California, where sometimes the concentrations get too high.

Everyone always hears the Biblical stories about the sick people lingering by the various springs and wells in Jerusalem and there is a reason for this happening, and some of it linked to the cures of persons by Jesus. Not every source of water in the Jerusalem was as blessed with the minerals as Gihon Spring, and which well or spring water was selected to be near and partake was important.

These days, the diets with good levels of Boron are being traced to heart health and longevity. Plants like Olive Trees concentrate Boron and Olive oil is a source of Boron and these days known for its health benefits. Similarly, grapes are concentrators for Boron and all good vineyards in Italy and California depend on an adequate level of Boron in the soils and waters, but not too much. The secrets for success of good wine making lie in this optimum boron in the soils and water area selection. The Boron signature in plants leaves behind a good health footprint in humans that partake of Boron Fruit and vegetable diets. Even the old story about an apple a day keeps the doctor away is true and based upon apples having good boron content.

These same health effects happened around the pools of water related to Gihon Spring in Jerusalem

Boron is distributed throughout the body with the highest concentration in the parathyroid glands, followed by bones and dental enamel. It is essential for healthy bone and joint function, regulating the absorption and metabolism of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus through its influence on the parathyroid glands. With this boron is for the parathyroids what iodine is for the thyroid.

Boron deficiency causes the parathyroids to become overactive, releasing too much parathyroid hormone which raises the blood level of calcium by releasing calcium from bones and teeth. This then leads to osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis, osteoporosis and tooth decay. With advancing age high blood levels of calcium lead to calcification of soft tissues causing muscle contractions and stiffness; calcification of endocrine glands, especially the pineal gland and the ovaries; arteriosclerosis, kidney stones, and calcification of the kidneys ultimately leading to kidney failure. Boron deficiency combined with magnesium deficiency is especially damaging to the bones and teeth.

Boron affects the metabolism of steroid hormones, and especially of sex hormones. It increases low testosterone levels in men and oestrogen levels in menopausal women. It also has a role in converting vitamin D to its active form, thus increasing calcium uptake and deposition into bone and teeth rather than causing soft tissue to calcify. Also other beneficial effects have been reported such as improvement of heart problems, vision, psoriasis, balance, memory and cognition.

The Arthritis Cure of Rex Newnham

In the 1960's Rex Newnham, Ph.D., D.O., N.D, developed arthritis. At that time he was a soil and plant scientist in Perth, Western Australia. Conventional drugs did not help, so he looked for the cause into the chemistry of plants. He realized that plants in that area were rather mineral deficient. Knowing that boron aids calcium metabolism in plants he decided to try it. He started taking 30 mg of borax a day, and in three weeks all pain, swelling and stiffness had disappeared.

Then one can also begin to see that Boron is important to avoid calcification of the organs of the body and the story for Soddom and Gomorrah about the body turning to stone appears to be this process involving the parathyroid and low boron nutrition in this highly Rift Zone affected area.

So, literally, boron has a significant role in the understanding for Biblical Miracles and the role of good health attrituble to this Spring's waters.

It is so significant a role that the issues of the Lord's Supper play a role, as the Bread and Wine for the Lord's Supper both were considered good sources for Boron in the area of Jerusalem. And the Lord's temple was associated with Gihon Spring.

Thus, right about here some pieces start to fall into place for many people. They begin to notice that David bought land that was a "Threshing Floor" for grains to become the site of his Temple vision. The Grain was likely grown down in the Kidron and processed there at the "threshing floor" that became the temple over the Gihon Spring.

Then one finds that the Essene did special things with grain that most making bread these days don't even know about. The Essene sprouted their grain and this effect enjoyed a special healthful transformation in the grain's nutrition. These days one can buy Essene Bread that is made via the Sprouted Grain process, and this is likely what was mean't by unleaven bread in those times. (also called Flat Bread)

So, for most the process of a little light coming on in the front of their brain begins and the light of this knowledge grows brighter the more they start making the correct associations to understand the period speak of the Bible stories.

The Last Supper would have been this unleaven, sprouted grain, flat bread, with good boron content for health and further improved in nutrition by the process of Sprouting. This was the special knowledge of the Essene and Jesus, in those times.

Brilliant. Excellent research and disclosure, again. Thanks, Magnum.

Now if only the "pious" would pull their heads out of the "good book" and figure out that the Bible is a bunch of fantastical misunderstandings by primitive thinkers who knew some places and things were good, but not WHY.

Now that we know WHY, we can dismiss the Bible fantasies, just as we dismissed Zeus and Thor siting aloft with lightning bolts to strike down those who go astray.

Too bad that people here are more interested in bickering than in learning; but, that's why it entertains them (and me)...it is rather like a roller coaster if one allows oneself to "engage" in the dogmadoodoo....

And if someone comes in and says "Why are you trying to destroy my faith
? You're so mean!", just realize they don't have the brains to differentiate between magical thinking and scientific discovery.

Don't give up!! These posts will stay here, and someone, somewhere, WILL see the light, thanks to you!!

Again, you've put a (very appropriate) title on a thread that is graduate level, when mostly you're talking to a cohort of 4th grade-thinkers. The title isn't "catchy" enough to even grab their interest.
Just a courteous suggestion to increase your traffic.....

Hello Wild,

You are welcome. ATS offers a good area to have sensible discussions on the themes for religion and actually raise the bar for religious understanding using both sciences and the knowledge of nature.

I do try to keep the presentations at the colledge level, and expect that other rise to the occasion of the elements for higher learning.

Pleased you caught the catchy title as being associated with an academic standard for denial of ignorance in religion.

I think we all know if we walked into a church these days and asked if they knew where the King's Garden was around Jerusalem that most of them would not even have a clue. So, lots of my presentations involve lots of the on the ground understanding for the geography and geology of Jerusalem and the surrounding area. I dare say that most would not associate Holy Water being used in religion as being tied to Gihon Spring and the Temple of David/Solomon.

But here on ATS, those associations get brought into the light and others may be slow to keep pace on ATS, but this intelligent association for what was going on with the temple of David will continue to infect the minds of the intelligent man in search for his roots of religious beliefs.

The Catholic often make great ritual of Holy Water and cook it up using things like Myrrh, which is another thing that goes all the way back to the times of the Creator gods being associated with Myrrh.

This question of why was the Solomon's Temple facing East and why was just the front gold is going to cause the religious mind to slowly address this question, because if they don't then others will address it for them and assume the superior position of intellectual strength.

The temple faced East because that is where things started with Ur and Eridu, and the garden of Eden. This is the origin for the Bible accounts on gods. A proper analysis of this history finds elements associated with genetic breeding from foreign DNA having upset the Darwin component for evolution, and inclusion of both supports the better truth.

They are even going to have to address things like why do they pray to the South and toward Mecca at the Mosques. And the issue is all the Rift zone issues of nature lie South, as does Mecca sitting right in the middle of the Rift zone in Saudi Arabia. Even Moses Mtn is South toward Mecca and very near the pilgramage trail to Mecca. So, the true Allah followers are forcing the issues against some of the less accurate ideas for god. And this so called Foundation Stone under the Dome of the Rock was never the real theme for god, as Abraham was a stepping stone to understanding, and Jesus another step, but the next step includes Nature as the God.

So, this catchy little titled theme, deals with some of the history for how water became Holy, in some respects, and still is today in terms of life giving nutrition to plants and animals. But these associations give a logical and scientific supportable theme for Spring waters that healed the sick, and even supports this new vegatable, fruit, and sprout nutrition of todays salad bars and get folks less into the meats and burned offerings that don't do well for long term health.

Lots of the old religion pontifinations have some roots in the logical issues, and one has to get down to the sensible to gather these truths and depart from the embellished and too fantastic to be believed faith and fantasy of god.

The goal: Raising the bar for religious understanding and finding the unification of religious truth using higher learning.
