U.S. auditors have concluded that more than $200 million was wasted on a program to train Iraqi police that Baghdad says is neither needed nor wanted.

The Police Development Program-- which was drawn up to be the single largest State Department program in the world -- was envisioned as a five-year, multibillion-dollar push to train security forces after the U.S. military left last December. But Iraqi political leaders, anxious to keep their distance from the Americans, were unenthusiastic.

Seems like a hell of a way to throw away $200 million, especially since they didn't need nor want it, it's not like we are in a deficit or anything

This irks me.

Screw Iraq.
Screw Afghanistan.
Screw Israel.

We need to be increasing relations with countries who will actually buy our goods and return good will.

ooohhh but the money wasn't wasted at alll

it merely flowed into all the "right" pockets

the same war-profiteering scum behind the businessman's plot
or rather their kids and grandkids

some of it will no doubt find it's way into bush III's electoral campaigns.
