3 Afghan policemen killed in Taliban-related attack on electoral car

Taliban suspected of attacking a car transporting ballot boxes. Three policemen escorting the car was killed in the ambush.

"KABUL, Oct. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Three police officers were killed late Saturday as suspected Taliban attacked a police vehicle carrying ballot boxes to Uruzgan's provincial capital Trinkot, the city police confirmed.

"The ballot boxes were taking from Chorak district to Trinkot when armed Taliban ambushed the vehicle, killing three policemen escorting the car," Rozi Khan told Xinhua.

This is one of many attacks related to the Afghan election. I say one of many because there are many reports and rumours ab�ut attacks but few details coming out. I guess they have their reasons for not reporting everything to the mainstream media right now. Maybe they tell us some more later...
