How I wonder where it is
that which forgives,
that unconditional forgiveness.
That forever releases us
from guilt and other beasties.
The reason why I wonder,
is if you truly found it in you
It must be somewhere in me.
Only a million ghosts stand
encumbering in my way.
What is it that makes them
want to stay?
Am I just another one of them,
in a never ending play?
The truth, I cannot say,
but your forgiveness opens hearts.
And in them children play.
Seesaw's are rocking
and swing's swinging.
The summer grass is hissing
Life a perfect reflection.
Now, I know what I was missing.
I will firstly imagine
there is a place like yours
where all is forgiven.
A place where
all answers are given.
Where the ghost's die
and become once again.
The happy living.
I find forgiveness extremely important for our well being. I hear a lot of people say that we should live the present moment and I totally agree with
this. We can't change the past as it has happenned, and can't control the future as it doesn't exist. One cannot accomplish this without
forgiveness IMO...because how can you let go of the past if one keeps grudges and holds on to them. I find that Forgiving your neighbour is the only
way to let go of the past no matter what could have happened. Some might not agree with me and that is fine. This is just my opinion on the
suject.
I have forgiven people for things that affected me my entire life and found that I felt liberated afterwards. I will not go into those details but I
can assure you it works, try it and you will see/feel for yourself (Obviously you have to be sincere about it).
I can tell you where it is
That which forgives
That unconditional forgiveness
That brings joy and release
From the burden of self
I too once wondered
But I truly had to wait...
Until forgiveness found me
Only one ghost stands
Encumbering your way
What is it that makes you
Want to stay?
Oh to be one of them
And play never endingly
And speak the truth
Unconditionally
Oh to be that child who plays
In hallowed halls
Of ancient days
And the summer grass sings
Nothing to forgive
And you were never lost
You just thought you were
I am right here beside you
The old friend the dear friend
Who sits and holds your hand
And questions fall away
Like ghosts
Eternally becoming
Free from forgiveness
That was absolutly perfect
I saw you swinging in the summer wind
laughing with no pain
nor story of sin.
I will hold your hand
like the beach holds the sand.
No time to loose.
nothing to gain.
always ready to meet again.
