Found this pretty interesting short video from NASA on hidden portals that can now be detected. A mission is planned for 2014 to explore them.

Now some skeptics on E.T. intelligence still hold this belief of how would they get from there to here, well once we know more about these portals, maybe we will know. Just a theory, but anyone like to take a guess on where these things might lead to?

It's not a teleportation portal. It's more like a canopy than Howl's Moving Castle. It looks like if a device would travel down the portal, it would be untouched by particles diffused from the Sun, unaffected by solar radiation probably too!

So not wormhole type portals, but fascinating nonetheless!

Do you know this for sure?

It's not just a theory. But they are more like conduits than portals. They are magnetic connections between the Sun and the Earth through which solar particles travel...as explained in the video.

The technical term is a flux transfer event.
science.nasa.gov...

Doesn't really have anything to do with Aliens or UFOs though.

I'm not a skeptic I'm a firm believer. However I'm also a physicist, this video describes a phenomenon created in earths magnetosphere due to the solar wind stretching it out on the side of earth that faces away from the Sun at any given time. The "Portals" referred to in this case is a scientific description of the two points meeting in space to create an X port.

This is in close proximity of one Au (astronomical unit) the distance between here and the sun. This theory would go right out of the window when it comes to the space between stars as magnetism is a strong force but only works on a localized basis, and would not work on 9for example) the 4 light years or so to even our nearest star.

Check out wormholes though, there's plenty of interesting material out there about that. It's theoretically possible that they can span the distance between stars but the science is still in it's infancy.

Cool post none the less.
