The Obama administration on Friday threatened to veto a defense appropriations bill in part because it does not include higher health care fees for members of the military.

newsbusters.org...

In extreme hypocrisy Obama plans to raise the health care costs of Millions of US Soldiers who should be the ones getting this treatment for free!!! Instead, Obama has threatened to veto a bill to keep Military Health Care costs lower!

Will the media report on this?

The military actually pays for health care costs? I thought they and their families received it for free. What a joke! These are the ones that need it the most because they are the ones that sacrifice the most. Them and their families.

A friend of mine told me about his earlier. If this is in fact true..............I would hope that everyone in our military throw down their weapons and come home!

I don't agree with what they are doing for the globalist bankers and the NWO, but by God this is absolutely disgraceful if it is in fact true!

This POTUS is a scumbag and I can only hope that our military converges on DC and arrests his sorry ass!

Obama Gotta Go...

And if the US voters don't do it, whatever happens from here on in is completely their own doing.

I have never heard of such a vile and disgusting act as making Military pay for their own health care.

Peace

Well, that is why I made the point, "If this is true!".

If it is true, I would think that the likes of John McCain would be screaming bloody murder at this point, and so far nothing..............................

This is a Romney victory in a nutshell if in fact this is a true fact, don't ya think?

That is what they are hoping for. That way, they can justify bringing in foreign soldiers because no one will join our military.

You wouldn't be leaving any information out would you???

Like maybe the increased fees are for better coverage under Tri Care???

No...you wouldn't leave information like that out...would you???

I love how Republicans want to cut costs...and then cry when Obama tries to cut costs.

Why should it be free for soldiers? Their jobs do include your life on the line but so do policemen, firemen and many others. What makes them so special?

Once you follow the long chain of biased sources, you may find this only applies to military families and retires, not service members currently serving and is not entirely accurate, but rather another politically motivated post.

Under the new plan, the Pentagon would get the bulk of its savings by targeting under-65 and Medicare-eligible military retirees through a tiered increase in annual Tricare premiums that will be based on yearly retirement pay.

Have a nice day.

What?! This makes no sense. Obama wants to raise fees on military health care. He doesn't want to cut costs!!!!
You must be getting tired OutKast are all your lies being jumbled up? Getting tired of defending your dictator it seems.

There should be no increases if Obama cares anything about our Military, which he doesn't! Who cares if it's better? And better by whose standards?

Sacrifice? They go out to war, thinking that they're making things better, and they know fine that there is a chance of death, so how is it that they are more entitled to free healthcare, than say, a person who scrubs other peoples' #e off public toilets for 40+hours a week on minimum wage?

I'd rather go to a warzone, than be degraded to doing half the #ty jobs that people in their home country have to put up with. Yes, some soldiers are patriotic, but many are idiotic fools who want to hold a gun, shoot Muslims and gain the benefits that come with the job.

Getting so sick of military worship, it's spread to here in the UK, and it is ridiculous. All respect to those that do the job for the right reasons, but I'd be betting that most don't do it foe the right reasons, especially I'm this British Army. In our armed forces, again, there are good soldiers, but also again, a helluva bit too many are a bunch of Neds and Chavs that like the violence, and I can attest to that with the number of people who join the forces with little to no qualifications.

Quit supporting soldiers, they're the ones making this world the way it is. I'd there were no soldiers, the Governments couldn't do # all to other countries unless they got off their asses and did it themselves.

My reading of this is that the Obama administration is saying that the pentagon budget does not ask for sufficient funds to cover the expected medical cost of military members and their families (tricare) which is free to members.
It is NOT about asking for more money from individuals coved by tricare, but that is the way the story is being spun to whip up opposition to obamacare.

Obama wants to raise fees on military health care.

For retirees, not active duty.

Sadly, this is what happened in the Roman Empire. Sure, they still had home grown soldiers. But they relied more and more on mercenaries like the Goths in the 4th century.

This only applies to military retirees (under 65) and family members not active duty members and only if they choose to use civilian facilities rather than military facilities.

These fees also only apply if you choose the two out of three options available under tricare, the third option is free across the board.

Saying active soldiers are going to start paying for their health care is...lying.

it's not a case of Obama wanting to increase costs, that is an elementary approach to what we are seeing here. It is the result of mandatory spending cuts... Which I think we all can agree this nation needs. With that said, I'd pull troops out of Afghanistan first and foremost before even looking at Tricare.

1. All retirees of US Military Service are still in the Military. They are military for life!
2. Please no hate messages about the military on here please.
3. Check this quote out: "Administration officials told Congress that one goal of the increased fees is to force military retirees to reduce their involvement in Tricare and eventually opt out of the program in favor of alternatives established by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare."

townhall.com...

4. Where are the links to all of your claims? I have provided two.
