Cheney: You are beaten. You don't understand the power of the Dark Side.

Edwards: I'll never join you!

Cheney: Kerry never told you about your father.

Edwards: He told me enough! He told me you killed him!

Cheney: No, John. I am your father.

Edwards: That's not true! That's impossible!

Cheney: Search your feelings, John, you know it be true.

Edwards: Noooo!

Cheney: Join me, and together we can defeat Bush, end this destructive conflict, and drop taxes across the nation, and rule the White House as father and son.

I might actually vote for a Cheney/Edwards ticket.

What would people do with one Republican and one Democrat on the ticket? Hmmm, and you think THIS election is devisive?! lol

Edwards- Kerry, why didn't you tell me?

LMAO Tai!

What does this say for America? Forget the Skywalker soap opera and vote for Han Solo starring Michael Badnarik.

Do liberals really believe in good/evil? I thought they all only saw shades of grey?

So then, I can have the power of the Dark Side and still claim the light of the Force.

Wait, good and eveil exist: Apparently Kerry/Edwards are the only examples of good and Bush/Cheney are the evil ones. Anyone else would fall in that whole grey area I mentioned up there ^

Nice. Perfect timing too, with the DVD box set coming out and all.

On that note, however, it seemed that Cheney and Edwards did see eye to eye on an opinion they do not seem to share with the President. That issue was that of gay marriage and the effort to enact a constitutional amendment banning it.

I thought it was great that Cheney said that the President makes policy and that he is the President's man so he'll abide by whatever policy the president chooses. Then, after Edwards pointed out his daughter's homosexuality and lauded the Cheney family for their support of her, Edwards went on to argue that 1) this is a state's rights issue, 2) states do not have to abide by the marriage laws of other states, 3) gay partnerships suffer for the lack of official acknowledgement in many key areas including hospital visitation rights, etc.

Cheney couldn't argue and simply thanked Edwards for the tribute to his family and let the issue drop.

Interesting...
