The Apophis comet is coming soon. I'm sure people are lining up ancient texts right now to show how they "predicted it" and it's going to wipe out earth.
I'm seriously considering getting in on the action. I could easily BS people on it, probably earn enough to buy a new sports car.

Well, look at all the doom and gloom threads, where NOTHING has happened. Look at the disasters that occurred, and the after-effects never came to fruition; ie...Japan, Deep Water Horizon, Bird Flu, the Next Great Depression, etc, etc... People went back to sleep; which could be a very dangerous thing to do. Like someone just posted...the boy has cried wolf....one too many times. Scary part is....the wolf actually showed up...when least expected. I'm keeping my ears and eyes on alert. No time to sleep or get caught off guard!

for years i have been thinking there would be intense focus and hype surrounding 12/21/12.
i really thought the date would be a huge story all year and everyone , everywhere would have been talking about it.
i was hoping to buy some cheap goods from people when they started selling off their possessions.

Why? It is no different to any other year...
i really thought the date would be a huge story all year and everyone , everywhere would have been talking about it.
it is just a year between 2011 and 2013, there is nothing special about it.
i was hoping to buy some cheap goods from people when they started selling off their possessions.
Why would anyone sell off their possessions?
What are you on about, you make no sense!
"We had people believe absolutely that he was 100 percent right, they sold their homes, they sold their cars and all of their possessions. After the date came and went we had lots of people who were financially ruined. Spiritually, we had people who gave up their faith. There was even one boy in New Jersey who committed suicide as a result," Roy said.
Some have reportedly sold all their possessions and taken to the streets to warn people to prepare for the second coming of Jesus. In recent weeks, callers to Christian radio stations in the US have debated what to do about non-believing friends and neighbours who will be left behind to endure the wrath of God.

It seems like it's talked about everyday on the Internet.
if you visit sites like ats yes , but i was thinking it would be part of msm as well.
i really wanted to buy some cheap toys or maybe a really cheap car before 12/21/12 .
maybe i assumed it would be a bigger story because it was such a small story for years and i remember how people couldn't stop talking about y2k in 1999.

I think if y2k was happening now instead of 2000 there would much more panic. People are much more invested with computers than they were 12 years ago.
As for 12/21 could the msm not covering it like crazy be because there is actually something to it and they got orders to not cover it hmm...
