Banks' Fire Drill for Greece Election

The banks are on high alert.

Hundreds of employees at big firms, some part of special teams, will be on standby this Sunday, awaiting the results of Greece’s pivotal election. They are preparing for the worst case. The fear is that the vote will heighten the chances of Greece exiting the euro and the global financial system will be shaken when the markets open on Monday.

My bet is that Greece will exit the Euro. Banks are preparing for crisis - their word not mine.

Oh, and what do you think this means?

If the Greek elections prompt market instability, banks are likely to have another source of support, perhaps overshadowing any of their own efforts to date. In a period of severe weakness, central banks will most likely step in and provide cheap loans to bolster the financial system.

And as a result, nations are showing their schizophrenic natures.

Foreign holdings of US debt hit record high

Foreign demand for U.S. Treasury securities rose to a record high in April. China, the largest buyer of Treasury debt, increased its holdings slightly after trimming them for two straight months.

Cheap loans equal people less likely to pay it off getting loans, creating interest and revenue.

This whole week coming up especially Monday is going to very interesting. Lots of other alarms going off, people being advised to draw down their BAs. Anarchy will ensue and then it's the old P. R. S. Should be fun watching all the super markets close their doors. People starving after surviving mass anarchy and riots and martial law with foreign troops coming for our guns.

The stage is just about set.

Quiet everybody quiet. And.......

Action

I find it scary that we are experiencing debt issues worldwide, at the same time power in the middle east is shifting with the death of the saudi prince ( still to be determined the cause ) and egypts elections, not to mention Syria, and Lybia let's not forget them either.

just kinda points to some one trying to stimulate the purses by escalating a conflict.

And I heard as it were the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying come and see and I saw
And behold a white horse
There's a man going around taking names
And he decides who to free and who to blame
Everybody won't be treated all the same
There'll be a golden ladder reaching down
When the Man comes around

The hairs on your arm will stand up
At the terror in each sip and in each sup
Will you partake of that last offered cup?
Or disappear into the potter's ground
When the Man comes around
Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singing
Multitudes are marching to the big kettledrum

Voices calling, voices crying
Some are born and some are dying
It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come
And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree
The virgins are all trimming their wicks
The whirlwind is in the thorn tree
It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks

Till Armageddon no shalam, no shalom
Then the father hen will call his chickens home
The wise man will bow down before the throne
And at His feet they'll cast their golden crowns
When the Man comes around

Whoever is unjust let him be unjust still
Whoever is righteous let him be righteous still
Whoever is filthy let him be filthy still
Listen to the words long written down
When the Man comes around

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singing
Multitudes are marching to the big kettledrum
Voices calling and voices crying
Some are born and some are dying
It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come
And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree
The virgins are all trimming their wicks
The whirlwind is in the thorn tree
It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks
In measured hundred weight and penney pound
When the Man comes around.

Close (Spoken part) And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
And I looked and behold, a pale horse
And his name that sat on him was Death And Hell followed with him.

I think it will be very interesting to see how the stock market is going to react because central banks have hinted at providing stimulus if greece leaves the eurozone and you know how the markets react to money printing.
But if greece stays in the eurozone then would that mean that there wont be stimulus? markets were rallying last week on stimulus hopes so there could be disappointment.
This could create a reverse effect to what people are expecting.
Stocks could rally on a greek exit and crash if they stay in the euro.

So many times I've thought, is this going to be Lehman part 2? Not sure about it. But then it is when you don't expect it, it happens. I think this forum must be one of the most under used. For all of the forums posting stuff on ATS, the global banking elite and the coming huge problems are right at the front of my red alerts. 2012 is shaping up to be huge.

Personally I feel late 2012 is going to be the SHTF moment. Not because the mayans have said so, but because some very clever people will take advantage of the fact many people have this 2012 disaster thing in the back of their mind.

So I'm unsure about this being the moment of big trouble financially. If Syriza win, then we have global bank intervention, which will perhaps stem the moment of crash a little bit (a couple of months).
