Have Some Earthshine!

I took this video last week with my cheap Sony Handicam mounted on a tripod. It's not very good for pickup low light objects, so I was impressed with the fact that it captured the Earthshine on the back of the moon.

I thought I would share it with you all here.

Oh! By the way- that is NOT someone arc wielding in the dark near the moon's south pole!

I noticed it too when I was editing the video. Using Stellarium I looked. There was a star right at the edge of the moon there. It did get my attention at first thought (was thinking of Zorgon's secret moon bases....Go Navy!):
