6.3 in northen argentina

just had a quick look at msn an its saying argentina has had a 6.3 earthquake, in the north of the country.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck northern Argentina early on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake occurred at 2:07 a.m. local time (1.07 a.m. EDT) and was centered 72 miles east-southeast of Santiago del Estero, the USGS said.

that quake was just upgraded to a 6.7

ill check cnn for updates on damages etc ...

just checked both CNN and BBC nothing about it yet.

yeah it was a deep quake but still strong enough to be felt at the suffice and cause some damage ... ill keep checking back every hour and provide updates ..

I hope there's no injury. Are there a lot of earthquakes lately or just easier to see whats happening due to the net?

I hope everyone's okay! The good thing is, it was quite deep (588km).

Wow that's crazy, we don't get many earthquakes around here. I'm in Buenos Aires and I didn't feel anything.

EDIT: Ok, going by the news, there are no injured. In fact noone in Santiago del Estero felt anything. It was way too deep apparently.

the depth of almost 600km is good enough for the 8 quake to happen with no or minor damage =) ... i'm glad it was deep cause there're huge populated cities in Argentina with weak infrastructure.
