Congressmen Seek To Lift Propaganda Ban

I don't know what's going to happen first:
- millions upon millions engaging in civil disobedience (ignoring their unconstitutional laws, quit funding the government's war against it's own people by the way of NOT PAYING FED TAXES)
- or an actual armed revolution.

Either millions will be jailed, millions will be killed, or millions will be jailed then killed.

Either way, currently we ALL fund their operations.

Back in the day, corporate taxes were those that funded government operations and income tax was around 1%. Now some of the largest corporations don't pay any taxes and the individual gives upwards of 35% to the government. As the years went by, they chipped away and chipped away, which is the way government does things (boiling the frog), the time has come for the citizens response. The clock is a minute from midnight.

Obviously, without any provoking... just minding our own business, citizens have become enemy number 1, we are now the terrorists. The time for waking up has passed. It is now time for action. We all have to make up our minds and make our own decisions on how we are going to battle this.

United we stand!

I hate to admit it, but our beloved Republic is becoming more and more fascist every day. This is a remarkable step toward total fascism. I am pondering whether I should move out of the country and give my children a future in a better land of the free...

So, in other words, they want to do what they have always done, only now they want to make it legal for them to do so...

"Hoping to silence the voices of dissent" comes to mind for me...

There's a BAN on propaganda in the US?

That's rich. No really, I'm falling over my chair here in laughter, it took 20 mins to write this post.

Anywhoo, anybody who thinks that here isn't MASSIVE ammounts of propaganda that come from everywhere...well, you just crawl back into your cave and we'll let you know when the coast is clear...

So when you take away all the smoke and mirrors and fancy words, this would just legalize them lying to us on purpose to further an evil agenda? What next a kick in the groin? At this point why don't they just come right out and say it. "American's, this is your government speaking....we hate you and we want a war with you." Really, this NDAA is a direct attack on the American people, not to mention a myriad of other policies passed by Bush and Obama (most recently). Why don't they just ask us? At the end of the day, propaganda or no propaganda, most of us don't believe the government anyway and consider EVERYTHING they say to be a lie, so it really doesn't matter other than the fact that they will now be able to lie and not be prosecuted for it, which is really getting to look like dictatorial power.

anyone with a good head on their shoulders knows that propaganda is spewed out everyday all day in america. look at advertisements, tv shows, movies, music..everywhere! they're just finally getting around to putting this down in writing. & whether or not it is passed, propaganda will still be used on the american people.

I think it is the government that is going out of its way to provoke a confrontation with the people. The people have been taking it in stride because a civil war with evil is the last thing anyone(but the government) wants.

I think it is a bit too early to incite violence. Sooner or later when unemployment reaches 30%(like it did before nazi germany) and the people have nothing to lose conflict will come on its own. To force an outcome is the wrong approach me thinks, but it does suit the bankers and government. The sooner the conflict happens it ensures success on their side because everyone is still too confused from work exhaustion to get properly informed. All you have to do is see how the same political parties have ALWAYS been winning the election cycle. The people have THEMSELVES to blame before anyone else!

The best time to squeeze a pimple is when it is ripe to get all the puss out. This guarantees the best outcome....

It is a fair warning, to the "concerned" American public --- that if we allow American politics to be dominated by right-wing goons such as Republican U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry's attempt to "1984" the proposed 2013 NDAA bill, will bring about further disruption of the function of the U.S. government towards total dysfunction.

I'm definitely in favor of Democratic U.S. Rep. Adam Smith's attempts to urge his collegues last Monday, that the next NDAA did not allow the military to detain anyone on U.S. soil without trail. Current law gives the excutive branch to much power.

Of course no american should be detained without trial.

That is something I would expect in syria, iran, somalia, etc.

Worry not my friend, we are moments away from becoming a second world country and then its all downhill to the aforementioned third world countries. Heck maybe we can become a fourth world country: is that possible?

I severly disagree. I don't think we have a covert communist agenda(which encourages atheism), I think we have a protocol of zionism agenda. Has anyone read those protocols? Why do you think europeans persecuted jews everywhere they went?

Hitler may have seemed evil and he DID hate communism, but national socialism is definitely not as bad as either capitalism or communism. When I say national socialism, I mean right wing socialism such as love of religion/spiritualism and respect for your nationality. It was the holocaust which painted a terrible picture of that system.

Anybody who has ever watched news on television already knows that it is these giant media conglomerates, that is, it is the mass media targeting Americans with propaganda. The government could only hope to get to the level of brainwashing skill that the media has. The media have been lying to us every step of the way.

They have been using propaganda actively for over a century. Check the historical records.

Look up the History of the Sinking of the US Maine, you will find out it was all a lie to trick the US public into war with Spain. It wasn't sabotage but instead it is suspected it was an accidental explosion in one of the magazine rooms. We went to war anyways, Spanish-American War, and history changed forever as a result.

And that was for sure propaganda.

Oh and think of all those heroic cartoon depictions of Teddy and the Rough Riders.

Right. The 2012-2016 strategic plan of BBG (Broadcasting Board of Governors), official U.S. propaganda organ, does include the de-federalization of the federal agency, which means turning it over to some other group such as a think tank or lobby, (examples: American Enterprise Institute, AIPAC).

The turn over will be hailed as a means of "sharing the cost".

Another look at the anti-circumvention technologies phrase: That can actually include the acquisition of "news" against the wishes of the "subject" of "news gathering", that means spying on.

Another issue related to BBG "reporters" is that they are actually agents of the United States posing as news investigators. There are laws against CIA agents posing as journalists. I suppose there aren't any laws against U.S. employed "reporters" armed with the latest covert surveillance equipment reporting back to their "boss" what they have found out.
