Iranian government arrested 15 people they called a "major terror and sabotage network with links to the Zionist regime". The group had plotted to assassinate an Iranian scientist in February, the authorities said.

The scientist in the article who was killed apparently had little to do with the Iranian nuclear program- I guess he was collateral damage so to speak- Isn't that what they call killing without solid evidence.

Tehran has accused Israel and the United States of assassinating four Iranian scientists in order to sabotage its controversial nuclear program. Washington has denied any U.S. role, while Israel has declined to comment.

No, collateral damage is when you level a building to get to the terrorists. The "building" is then collateral damage ... it's only a thing of emotional-value, rather than physical-value.

It is VERY immoral. Who knows if they even had anything to do with the murder of those scientists!? The way the Islamic regime operates in these cases is they will arrest and even kill people JUST to appease their religious backing.

I don't recognize a single court in Iran as a legitimate court that will be able to sentence the guilty or free the innocent. Because their TRACK RECORD shares a VERY telling story of human rights abuses.

But you don't care for those people...all you care about is a backward religion, a false prophet to whom you claim to be a descendant of. You're not even an Iranian, that much is clear to all these people, but for you to defend the Iranian regime in EVERY thing they do...is a bit too much which is also becoming clear.

Go on, apologize for the Islamic regime. Go on, lie some more about how Iranians support the Islamic regime. Put it black on white so in the future you cannot deny you spoke in favor of the oppression of a people, of a country, that you don't even know!

Of course not.

How the hell did you get to that conclusion? They are my fellow Iranians who happened to be really smart. Who knows how many of them were and are forced to work for the Iranian regime?!

Then for the Israeli regime - who are great friends with the Islamic regime...to kill them...and you ask me whether or not I support those killings. Get your head checked dude.

i think you need to get your head checked
or at least rub 2 braincells together

the simple fact that the media feels a need to let us know
about the trials of some penny ante spies/hit squad,
[cause like this scenario isn't being repeated all over the planet to differing degrees]
with a nudge, nudge, wink, wink "hey look at what those backward peoples are doing, ain't that unfair..."

tells me it's bs

manufactured outrage for the warmongers and sheeple

do remember that iran is in the crosshairs

nevermind that you claim to be against the assassination of the scientists
yet seem to be championing their killers

At least they got to appear in court.
The US have the NDAA, Guantanamo or send a drone before you get the chance of a trial.

I am not apologizing for anyone... there is a court system, the persons tried had a trial, in that trial they brought their defense for why they may have been innocent, they were still found guilty....

sorry, no wrongdoing on the part of Iran....it is only you who think a trial in a court of the law of their land is somehow wrong

All prisoners appear to believe they were wrongly convicted, just go to a prison in America and conduct a poll, you will find America convicts everyone wrongly. If you want to believe prisoners found guilty of a crime, that is.

People like you will never get it. Just keep busy trying to figure it all out, or pretending to have it figured out.

Erm...Islamic regime...a theocracy. I rest my case.

At least they got to appear in court.
The US have the NDAA, Guantanamo or send a drone before you get the chance of a trial.

Please, leave the US and go live in Iran. Please do it, since according to you, at least you get a trial(never mind it's a complete show trial) - if you're to be made an example of. If you're not to be made an example of, you'll disappear into some dungeon somewhere, leaving your relatives wondering where you are.

sorry, no wrongdoing on the part of Iran....it is only you who think a trial in a court of the law of their land is somehow wrong

It is not "their" land since Iran is not an Islamic republic but has been taken hostage by the theocracy present now. Read history, ow wait...your version of history is the one where Iranians like Khomenei...kind of like a parallel universe thing. Never mind, you don't have the intelligence to drag yourself past your blind spots.

All prisoners appear to believe they were wrongly convicted, just go to a prison in America and conduct a poll, you will find America convicts everyone wrongly. If you want to believe prisoners found guilty of a crime, that is.

STOP COMPARING THE US TO IRAN. There is nothing to compare except for the people. Iran is a theocracy. The US is not. The US is a free country. Iran is not. I'm wondering why the hell you're in the US anyways and not some Islamic country...ow wait...I know...as a woman you'd be reduced to nothing in an Islamic country.

That's funny. Last I checked Americans had all the freedoms they could want and Iranians want to go to America! I wonder why? Is it because the US is worse than Iran or is it because Iran is worse than the US? Simple logic, can't be too hard for you.

And about leaving USA and living elsewhere,I renounced my american citizenship long back . I rest my case.

And? How does that make the USA worse than Iran to its own people?

Iran does not have NDAA or secret torture prisons ,USA does.

Iran has a lot of those prisons where people disappear in, families left guessing where their loved ones went. But you wouldn't know that with your anti-US bias and all(fair is fair).

this is the joke of the millennium .Do you work for the Onion or comedy Central?Do you know that NDAA law is similiar to North Korean or Saddam's Iraqi detention law?

Please, you delusional people crack me up. When was the last time someone criticized the American government and was sent to torture prison or death? When was the last time someone criticized the American president and went to a torture prison or went missing - presumed dead? The American president is made fun of daily on certain networks, but they get to broadcast the next day. Is it mandatory for children, from the moment they step into school, to study the Bible in America? Can you be sent to death for changing your mind on what you believe in the US?

No. No. No.

These are all things you guys take for granted, but it sure makes you cool to hate on the US. (Don't get me wrong though, America has its fair share of abuses and social-economic traps...but it's nowhere compared to Iran's and people like you would do well to understand this...)

only the 1st quote is mine own

you make it look like i said all that
also by not quoting others properly they have no means
[other than constantly returning to the thread and checking]
of knowing they've been addressed and in turn reply

sneaky of you.

People like you will never get it. Just keep busy trying to figure it all out, or pretending to have it figured out.

sez you.
oh, i get it all right, my paternal grandfather was cuban
he emigrated to the us, during the batista regime that fidel castro and his friends toppled
why?
because as a black man, he knew he had absolutely no chance at all at progressing upward in life
beyond his being a tobacconist, only downward, picking sugar cane;
under the racist and crimial batista/meyer lansky us-puppet regime [the equivalent of the shah's regime].

you, like the cuban exile movement, are not to be trusted, because as Machiavelli pointed out
an exile is never to be trusted, because their true goal is to return as a ruling power.

Nice of you to tell me that, too bad it's been 4 hours already. You can check my post history if you think it's not a mistake, other than that, man up. And I'll leave the sneaky to you with your implied sneaky suggestions.

Aaaahhh I see what's wrong here...you are projecting what happened in Cuba onto Iran. You could do that to compare (social consequences) and the like, which can be measured, but projecting that ugly racism onto Iranians of then is just laughable. Go into Iran with an Afghan friend, and feel stupid for even implying that the Islamic regime did away with racism. Iran under the Shah was light years ahead in the compartment of tolerance.

[the equivalent of the shah's regime].

Ridiculously stupid.

you, like the cuban exile movement, are not to be trusted, because as Machiavelli pointed out

Guess your faith in Machiavelli is wrong since I have no plans on returning as any kind of power. When I can return it will be to simply experience the people and place, for some time, and then return to where I live.

Machiavelli...
Are you a fan of Scarface too?

It's laughable and ironic that you would make out a people, whose numbers exceed millions, as "never to be trusted"(with all the implications thereof), while your grandfather had to flee a place he would not have regarded as an equal.

i get it all right.

You don't. And by your limited(I'd rather say lack of) knowledge concerning Iran, its history and the way the Islamic regime has forced itself on Iranians, the implied superiority divisions a theocracy brings with itself and thus creates socially, I'd say you couldn't be further from getting it.

Advice from the 16th century to George W. Bush on the Iraqi 'dissidents'
feeding the war party in Washington. This same advice would have saved
JFK a lot of grief in 1961 at the Bay of Pigs.

=

"We see, then, how vain the faith and promises of men who are exiles
from their own country. As to their faith, we have to bear in mind that,
whenever they can return to their own country by other means than your
assistance, they will abandon you and look to the other means,
regardless of their promises to you. And as to their vain hopes and
promises, such is their extreme desire to return to their homes that
they naturally believe many things that are not true, and add many
others on purpose; so that, with what they really believe and what they
say they believe, they will fill you with hopes to that degree that if
you attempt to act upon them you will incur a fruitless expense, or
engage in an undertaking that will involve you in ruin....A prince
therefore should be slow in undertaking any enterprise upon the
representations of exiles, for he will generally gain nothing by it but
shame and serious injury."

and concerning progress under the shah:

SAVAK (Persian: ساواک, short for سازِمانِ اطلاعات وَ امنیَتِ کِشوَر Sāzemān-e Ettelā'āt va Amniyat-e Keshvar, National Intelligence and Security Organization) was the secret police, domestic security and intelligence service established by Iran's Mohammad Reza Shah with the help of the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (the CIA).[1] SAVAK operated from 1957 to 1979, when the Pahlavi dynasty was overthrown. SAVAK has been described as Iran's "most hated and feared institution" prior to the revolution of 1979 because of its practice of torturing and executing opponents of the Pahlavi regime.[2][3] At its peak, the organization had as many as 60,000 agents serving in its ranks according to one source,[4] although Gholam Reza Afkhami, whose work on the Shah has been described as a "sympathetic biography",[5] estimates SAVAK staffing at between 4,000 and 6,000.[6]

History
1957-1970

After removing the populist regime of Mohammad Mosaddeq (which was originally focused on nationalizing Iran's oil industry but also set out to weaken the Shah's power) from power on 19 August 1953, in a coup, the monarch, Mohammad Reza Shah, established an intelligence service with police powers. The Shah's goal was[7] to strengthen his regime by placing political opponents under surveillance and repress dissident movements. According to Encyclopædia Iranica:

A U.S. Army colonel working for the CIA was sent to Persia in September 1953 to work with General Teymur Bakhtiar, who was appointed military governor of Tehran in December 1953 and immediately began to assemble the nucleus of a new intelligence organization. The U.S. Army colonel worked closely with Bakhtīār and his subordinates, commanding the new intelligence organization and training its members in basic intelligence techniques, such as surveillance and interrogation methods, the use of intelligence networks, and organizational security. This organization was the first modern, effective intelligence service to operate in Persia. Its main achievement occurred in September 1954, when it discovered and destroyed a large communist Tudeh Party network that had been established in the Persian armed forces[8][9]

In March 1955, the Army colonel was "replaced with a more permanent team of five career CIA officers, including specialists in covert operations, intelligence analysis, and counterintelligence, including Major General Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf who "trained virtually all of the first generation of SAVAK personnel." In 1956 this agency was reorganized and given the name Sazeman-e Ettela'at va Amniyat-e Keshvar (SAVAK).[9] These in turn were replaced by SAVAK’s own instructors in 1965.[10][11] Chief CIA Iran analyst Jesse Leaf in an interview on 6th Jan. 1979 stated that the CIA taught Nazi torture techniques to SAVAK.[12][13]

In your world:
you have not heard of Les Sachs a American political dissident who fled USA due to threat to his life.
The police murder encounter of whistleblower Bill Cooper did not happen..
The Torture of Bradley Manning did not happen.
The Torture and prosecution of milk farmers does not happen.
The Waco mass murder by the police did not happen

Sorry ,I was a citizen of free America not fascist Amerika that you liberal apologists created.

When was the last time someone criticized the American president and went to a torture prison or went missing - presumed dead?

Andrew BreitBart murdered by Obama
Les Sachs threatened by Bush adminstration with murder.

What the hell does Iraqi crap with Bush crap have to do with the conversation between me and you? Nothing. But your ill-found wisdom in machiavelli has to prove itself right. After all, if I prove you wrong, what point is there to the rest of those false teachings only created to constantly create a war like tension?

and concerning progress under the shah:

Please, cram it you ignorant person. I personally know head of police over entire districts in Iran, and while the revolution was going on he ordered his men to stand down because he didn't want to spill the blood of his countrymen. In fact, one of the people high up in Iran today was captured in prison and was being slapped in prison, and when this head of police arrived he shouted and cursed at the guards and asked them why they would do such a thing to their countrymen. When the fake revolutionaries tried to take over the station he was at one day, he emptied all the bullets from his gun as he had absolutely no intention to harm Iranians.

Besides that, EVERY SINGLE secret service worldwide has a bad rep.

Now let me tell you a difference between Iran during the days of the Shah and after that.

Freedom during the days of the Shah. No freedom now. Economically and socially flourishing of Iran during the days of the Shah. No, or very very little social progress, and inflation in the twenty percent. Now there is institutionalized religious discrimination, religious laws beating the crap out of people.

You say that SAVAK was so bad to opponents of the Shah, while that is largely exaggerated bullcrap since the little example I gave above disproves the bloodlust for opponents of the Shah. While NOW, if you even speak critically of the government or the theocracy, it's a one way trip to jail for decades or simply a death sentence.
Go to Iran as a tourist and try to speak about politics. People are TOO AFRAID to say what they believe because of the amount of torture and jail time people are sentenced to for trumped up charges.

What the HELL do you know about Iran or Iranians to speak as if your knowledge is all compassing because you read "Machiavelli" - just like millions of businessmen who try to be as cutthroat as possible. Or people stuck in jail. Get over yourself, over your fake knowledge, over your retarded Machiavelli and go talk to some real people who went through the real deal, and not just people who had a grand papa that fled a place and now they have all encompassing knowledge about history and whatnot...Grow the hell up kid. You're dead wrong but worse, your perspective is completely off.
