This has been a scam and a ponzi scheme to get us to fund their multiple gov. projects/

Name a single entity that you put money into that can't be considered a ponzie scheme?

Do you have any kind of insurance? Do you use a bank?

Credit card?

Yeah, that's what I thought....

I can't disagree with anything you have said.

Still that does not make SS and medicare recipients beggars or living off the gov because they failed in their promise to the money we paid.

Actually,he doesn't have a posse. That's against the T&C rules.

Another thing against T&C is personal attacks, but time and time again you resort to posting about other posters.

Why should ANYONE want to talk about Cantor revives GOP war on working poor, when they have to deal with this?

Thats why no one is here.

And THIS folks, is the REAL reason as to why Neo is so BITTER about the Middle-class and Lower-class getting that which has been PROMISED to them their whole lives from the money FORCED from their paychecks over the ENTIRE SPAN of their working careers... My explanations above are in red text.

Neo's bitterness has ALL to do with the ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY of the "HAVES" among us, IE: the WEALTHY, being made to pay their FAIR share in a country that needs to increase taxes on SOMEBODY in addition to making cuts. I recall a past reply from Neo stating he was in a position of wealth having inherited a fortune... hmmm.

Neo wants the cuts to be made on the Middle-class and Lower-classes. PERIOD.

Very bad Karma awaits you my friend!!! It awaits you and all others who only wish for the LESS FORTUNATE to shoulder the BURDEN in this country. The day will come my friend, I have seen it MANY times with folks who are CARBON-COPIES of you Neo!!

Woe is you when it comes...

Neo spends the majority of his time trashign the poor and unfortunate, which there are many of whom post on this site.

So please, don't give me garbage about the T & C, you are only protecting an opinion that you support.

Only a coward would even make this an issue.

My dad survives on SS and Medicare. He was hit by an old lady who blew through 2 separate sets of stop lights and hit him in his work truck. He has survived bladder and prostate cancer afterwards due to both programs.

Is he a beggar?

F this. Some people need to crawl out of their ideological money driven hole and start seeing things for what they are.

You are all driven by paper (and the the value of it). Some of us are driven by life.

That is the difference

It would be nice if the working poor had the opportunity to invest in 401ks and precious metals. They don't. They don't have the seed money to lay aside. They don't have it because the very nature of the system they are trapped in doesn't allow it to them. The haves need the have nots. Capitalism promotes contrived scarcity.

The inflation caused by the overriding necessity to "grow the market" eats up every extra dollar they make. Speculation on intrinsic commodities like gas and corn continuously increases the price paid at the pump and the check out line. We've been here before. That's why these programs were started. For the government to mismanage the funds and then try to discontinue the programs so the wealthy can be more wealthy is irresponsible in the extreme. Its inexcuseable.

Your attitude is the mindset that is ruining the country. I bet you would love to have every social service privatized. Privatize the water supply, privatize the postal service, and privatize every possible service the government provides to all people including libraries. lol It would be ironic if you said the Fed should be dismantled since it is a private bank that took over a service of the government which is printing the money supply while chartered to be in control of our monetary system. How is that private central bank working out?

What exactly do you want for our civilization? Do you think everyone should be left to rot? I would love for you to lose all your money and have no one to turn to. I bet you'd change your tune then. You have to realize not everyone is born a perfect human being like you are. I can smell your narcissism over the internet. Not everyone is born into successful families or families that have opportunities. What about the kid that was beaten by his parents his whole life? Should the girl born with MS just be thrown off a cliff since she isn't economically viable? Your philosophy is just like eugenicists of old except that you judge not on genetic qualities, but social/class qualities and most importantly economic viability. You see humans only in terms of how much money they can make and what class do they belong to. Throw him out on the street when he is 18? Would you like if someone is in a wheel chair and can't make enough money to live that we then kill him because your corporations need that tax money more than him. Kill the poor, right? Your profit at all costs, screw everyone else attitude provides justification for the crimes of Wall Street. There are human beings suffering in our society and as we fix the fundamental problems of non-existent living wages for the vast majority of the population and the huge barriers to education and higher education don't you think we should reallocate money from subsidized corporations, pathetically large bank bailouts, endless wars, endless police state, etc. and help the poor and disabled? Shouldn't we set a goal to make every job pay a living wage? People want to work, but they don't want to work two jobs and still not be able to afford a life. What incentive is there to work when one whole paycheck pays just the rent? How exactly do you afford school? Oh wait, you would get student loans. Wonder why that's a bubble ready to pop. (One big reason at least.) Jesus, you are a sad human being. You are like a parrot just repeating everything you hear on Fox news and your "conservative" outlets. I'm friends with a guy like you and I'll stop right there. Have some heart, little man.

P.S. Just trying to figure out your mindset and philosophy. Perhaps, it would be a good idea to state your philosophy or ideology so people can better understand where you are coming from. Be less abrasive and explain your positions without dehumanizing the majority of the population, and maybe people will be less turned off to you. Just a suggestion!

I did a quick calc of what my work has contributed to FICA so far and once I reach retirement age the Govt can already afford to pay me the max $1200/month and still have 4 years left if I die by the average age of 81.3.

Luckily I do have a 401k and some other private pensions so fingers crossed the market doesn't collapse.

Still have half my working life to go, so If I can stay healthy and employed that'll be at least 3 "average" lifespan extra people I can pay for in retirement if I can continue at my current remuneration level.

I am happy to help provide my fellow human's with a saftey net.

I do object to the way the Govt has decided to raid the FICA/ Medicare (trust funds) money they collected and then wail they don't have the money to pay out, because of our military spending.

"The government practice of combining trust and federal funds began during the Vietnam War, thus making the human needs portion of the budget seem larger and the military portion smaller. "

Some say that U.S. military spending will naturally be higher because it has the highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of any country. The United States accounts for 47 percent of the world’s total military spending, however the U.S.’s share of the world's GDP is about 21 percent. Also note that of the top 15 countries shown, at least 12 are considered allies of the U.S. The U.S. outspends Iran and North Korea by a ratio of 72 to one.

No

And those Ira's and 401ks have regained their value because people who have no idea of how investment works knows that portfolios rise and fall over the short term but when it comes to the long term such as 3 years the become more valuable.

And of course there are precious metal retirement accounts like Gold that has doubled in price from 2000-2008 and has doubled again and will double yet again within the next 4 years.

Long term such as 50 years those will have more value that some social security account.

But of course people would rather have a pitence they can't touch for 50 years and only get to draw from for less than 10 years and would come in handy if a person ever lost their jobs, became sick or any other need ever arose.

But nope liberals know more than others do its always that way.

I'm not a liberal but you "republican conservatives" have the same mindset cause neither party aside from Ron Paul is gonna address the crappy interest rates savers get.

Yep and thats why liberals always try to steal money from me but i get the last laugh cause all i have to do is move it to a swiss account.

And there we have it folks...maybe this was tongue-in-cheek, but it speaks volumes.

Im a liberal and i dont want a single dime of your money. I work hard for my own. I save my own. I have an IRA and i save liquid cash. I am terrified that , regardless of this saving, i willl not have the means to retire comfortably. I have a $500 credit card that i use solely to build credit and only charge my monthly utility bills to it and pay off the balance every month. I drive a paid oo 99 ford escort. And own an off brand 200 32 inch flat screen. I dont spend extravagantly. I have a strict cash allowance i allow myelf after all other monetary obligations are taken care of. The rest i save. My friends joke about how obsessive i can be about my budget.

You expect people to just get a second job? So we should all work every day and almost every waking hour so we we can give additional tax cuts to the rich that have already PROVEN not to work? And where exactly are alll these second jobs supposed to come from when people already cant find ONE?

You and others continue to complain about taxes as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It's not about taxes, its about the accumulation of wealth. ALL THE DATA for the last few decades has shown that the rich keep taking more and more of the wealth and not putting it back into the economy. The productivity of the working class continues to rise as they see their wages fall. They are being punished for working their asses off so the rich can keep more of their money and stuff it into the same swiss bank accounts you so callously and crassly mentioned. It sure as heck aint the fault of liberals that this is happening.

Republicans don't care about jobs (in spite of claiming they do) they care about ruling over all of us, basically turning us into slaves.

So then what do the Dems want to do, help us?

Democrats were for segregation in the 50's and 60's and now the tactics are at the opposite side of the spectrum. if they were so hell bent on helping the lower class, don't you think their charitable contributions would be the highest in the country, regardless of believing the gov't can solve all problems? point of fact its the contrary.

if anyone wants to make us slaves, its the dems.

The sad part is the Democrats aren't for the little people any more either.

Between the Democrats and the Conservatives we're screwed.

I'm sick and tired of everybody taking my money for their pet projects that I can't benefit from.

In the meantime the two are bending over to give illegal immigrants more benefits than those Americans who actually need it.

What are they going to do when they have bled the system dry? When there is no money available to support the huge military industrial complex that only exists to serve the very rich, the super rich in this country will find themselves in a very bad situation.

Time is slipping away from the world corporate empire.

While the democrats are almost as bad as the republicans, at this point in time, anyone who votes republican and isn't a millionaire, is acting out of ignorance.
