I totally agree I'm sorry to say. The sad truth of the matter is we are on our own...

Unless you believe Benjamin Fulfords story of how the these corrupt people are going to be held accountable, I really don't expect any change.

Only the people of this world as a whole have the power change things.Unfortunately, they are often to busy hating than working together to change anything...

Barry is more Bush than Arbusto for sure... they're one in the same in the same sense that all men are created equally. It's what other men created, and they have to work with in, that is the problem. Granted, the President is a spokesman, and has power... but to think that the idea 'Do NOT Re-Elect' is the solve-all solution is not proper.

There's a whole list of political philosophies held by men and women in the White House that needs to change... as it pertains to the roles of governance with the people.

Liberals are liberals, Republicans are republicans... there are equally as many closet extremist liberals as there are 'not so liberal, liberals.'

I see, and can point out issues that are of concern in American politics and governance, just like everybody else. Yet, this does not mean that we can't work through the issues, while at the same time supporting one another. I see too many people just 'giving up'... what do these people thing they're doing? Just sitting on a curb side for weeks or months on end is only conducive towards destroying our union. ...and they say it's in the name of liberty, pssh, it's in the name of vanity you broke shills.

In the end of the day, a majority of Americans aren't smart enough to deny their own ignorance. I've noticed a lot of people just want to complain, so they can think they contributed. Unfortunately, their words just fall on deaf ears... and if they get out of hand, their actions land them in jail.

In the information age and all that fun stuff, people just need to 'get smart' and find a tactic that will work... other than camping out, outside of the Federal Reserve.

Guess what?

What!

ahhh... nevermind.

You know you bring up a very good point, usually on here I look for people disagreeing with posts like this so I can disagree with them, leading me to go on and speak my mind to people who will think I am crazy no matter the amount of knowledge I speak or how accurate that knowledge is...what I am saying is your disagreeing, but I for once am not arguing. I am admiting my wrongs. So I go on to ask your opinion on something else you said, it is the information age. I believe there is a very good way, or many ways that people can use against the government to shake them up very well...but I just am not scholarly enough to come up with one single handedly, and for a while I thought ANON was doing a very fine job of pissing them off, but what ever became of them? Help me out, whats the best thing we can do?

Things will only change by us keep electing corrupt politicians

we should just sit back and not only accept the status quo but go rally and fight for it!!!!!

P.S., don't vote for Ron Paul, the last thing we need is someone who has been fighting for us for 30 years

I have two comments:

1. You are assuming that it matters who we vote for.

2. Nope, I guess that was it.

Look, the prez is only a puppet. We could all write in my Grandmother and it wouldn't make a hoot of a difference.

The answer is to change the system entirely.

sigh Whats this hatred for Israel on ATS as of late?
So what if Ron Paul said that Jerusalem is Israel's?

Bah.. I already knew this, So they have my emails and like all my personal info. What they gonna do? Go show my mother? The world? If they have it, then they have it.

So they have intel on you. Great, then they know you're pissed on top of everything else they know about you. Don't let this take away your will to fight back. It means very little. They don't control you.

People have accepted that politicians lie and are therefore powerless to hold politicians accountable.
This is like a person accepting that they will be a slave, once they have accepted thier fate, they will not work to change it.

whoever will come after Obama will be even worse and the people will whine and moan but that will be all.

The programs in question started under Bush.

They were collecting all your email in 2006, before Obama was elected.

There's no evidence that anyone, even Ron Paul, would ACTUALLY stop these programs.

Trying to make this a Obama issue is just transparent BS.

The whistleblower is lying. They don't have copies. Why would they have copies? Do you know how much wasted space that would be? No, they probably have the originals!

...Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, the major ISPs...

The corporations are the government, remember?

If they have copies, it's only as a backup! And, they use our own tax money to spy on us, so they don't have to pay for it themselves! Why didn't I thinka that?!

My GOSH, it cannot get any more corrupt than this, yet I know it will!

While reading this thread, I was reminded of this song by a guy named Larry Norman.
It's called "the great American Novel"

Dude, I love Ron Paul too, but the last President who tried to change things was JFK.

A President change is not the same as a regime change...
I wish everyone would get that through their heads.

Exactly.... if anything we should by now have learned that YOUR VOTES DOES NOT COUNT. You don't live in a bloody democracy. You live in a country where money talks all the way to the top.
Doesn't matter who has the teamsters, the single mothers, the black community. These are merely tools to keep the peace.

You are being deceieved. But unfortunately for the people at power, this has become increasingly visible.

Big empires crumble faster.... at some point they either become in-sustainable or the people notice them and revolt.

Stop believing in the "dream" and start making things happen yourself. And by that I mean: get out there on the streets and tear that poor excuse for an adminstration apart!

Not surprising except for the fact that this comes from Democracy Now... one of the most Progressive, Socialist loving organizations out there, and that is why I can't help but think there is another agenda at play here.

I've just started watching, and I haven't noticed. It seems like good reporting. It's missing all the song and dance and government scripting of the MSM.

I am both progressive and socialist. Who wouldn't be for getting us out of the dark ages?

Exactly this.

The problem is that both parties are owned, even if the president himself is not owned, the structure supporting him most definitely is. This includes the FBI, CIA, NSA and any other little clubs you want to throw into the mix. They are owned and controlled by their own self-interests, and by their corporate/banking masters.

Changing the face on the poster doesn't make the show any better. The story is the same, and it will continue like this because the same people are writing the script and selecting the cast.

How long will it take before people understand that voting means nothing unless you are voting EVERYONE in and out, from military leaders to CIA and FBI officials. You might get rid of the smell, but the sh*t is still there.

Dear MA and others,
So ok I get the point you don't like your privacy being invaded but... did you honestly think you owned the rights to privacy as soon as your IP Packet hits your ISP?

You pay for the pleasure of being able to send IP Packets, that's it. You have no rights to data protection, you have no rights to digital privacy.

Did your ISP come to your house and sign a form stating they would encrypt and protect any and all information you sent through them? =)

The naivety is comical...
