Orion is a ancient message according to bin Laden, hitting on the degrees 39x77 (DC coordinates long/lat) with Orion above meant "death to those below", called " encoded messaging".

Now, I've read carefully what you stated cmdrkeenkid, please correct me if I've gotten this wrong.
Orion will always be 33 degrees above the horizon?

Could you interrupt the maps in the links and kindly tell me if they are correct on the "encoding of messages" for attacks with Orion.
IF they are correct, can you tell me when Orion will be in that position as Orion was on 9/11.
please then tell me when one should worry in NY.

I was just stating that no matter where you are, at some point in time, Orion will be 33 degrees above the horizon. Not that it is ALWAYS 33 degrees above the horizon every at once.

What exactly do you mean when you ask when Orion will be "over" NYC? Betelgeuse's DEC is ~+7 degrees, whereas NYC's latitude is ~40 degrees. That means Orion's most northern point will never be seen more than ~ 60 degrees above the horizon from New York. It will never be overhead.

According to the two links above they indicate there is a "tie", correlation between Orion; his star belt and NASA, who's emblam is the constellation of Orion. Cape Canaveral they also tied to Orion and all launchs, including launch pads.

They have gone as far as to indicate that terrorist attacks are following the same star/constellation formation of Orion, called "Rirual Alignment".
Perhaps I'm getting it wrong on stating Orion is overhead or from the horizon by 33 degrees. This is what I would like clarified.

They state when the USA launchs a spacecraft Orion is positioned in a particular position. They also state when the USA attacks Orion is again in this position in the sky.

They indicate al Qaeda is using the same positioning.
example: Kenya Embassy bombing, Orion was in this popsition.
USA counter-attacks the Kenya bombing, Orion is again in this position.
9/11 attacks Orion is in this position, and there was a wait time for a "window" when Orion was in this position before the planes hit their mark.
USA enters Baghdad Orion is in this position.

What I want to know what is this position? How often is it aligned in this postion in NYC? When is the next time for this constellation alignment?

Uhm... (how do we put this politely?) the websites are... mistaken. The writers have an agenda and know nothing at all about astronomy. They probably can't tell Casseopea from Casinova.

The information is Just Plain Wrong.

Orion is visible in the night sky in the northern hemisphere for half the year. Since the planet rotates, it's "over" every spot on the Great Circle once every day.

Actually, what's happened is that the website has an agenda, the writer is completely clueless but wants to manufacture an Evil Connection and is making up or taking information from sites without actually checking facts. Checking facts would lead to his debunking this thing that he so seriously believes in, and he can't take being wrong.

Orion appears in relation to NYC every single day... at different times. Sometimes (summer) you won't be able to see it because the sun's out, but it's still there. Winter is the best viewing time for the Northern Hemisphere.

When is the next time for this constellation alignment?

It's ALWAYS there.

You know, LL1, there's a really easy way for you to do all this work for yourself. Download some freeware or shareware planetarium software, set your position for NYC, and then look up the exact date/time of these attacks and launches you claim all occur when Orion is in this magic position. I'd be surprised if you found the mighty one in the same hunting grounds each time.


Of course, something else you can do is ask yourself when the shuttle launches. I'll give you some clues:

A) They launch in all seasons, weather permitting.
B) This includes winter.
C) Night launches are exceedingly rare.
