My girlfriend got arrested tonight...

Her and her sister got arrested after fighting numerous times. I called my lawyer to try and get him down to the arraignment but what can I do if he cannot make it there? She is drunk and not in the right state of mind to answer questions/ be arrested. They have had her in the drunk tank for 1+ hour. The cops are cool and listen to me and treat me with respect. I need some advice, please!

Might be a good thing for her to spend some time there.

Sounds like you have good cops. They will keep her safe. Maybe she will come back wiser for the experience.

If she was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, I don't think there's much a lawyer can do for her. She'll probably be ordered to pay a fine and released in the morning.

Yup, If it was just you and her, cops would take you...

Trouble you don't need and can't afford.

First and foremost, enjoy your time away from her. Second, and most important, stash all the dope and guns at your mother in laws house. Next, call a National Guard recruiter and repeat this phrase "Diggy pencil fest", he will answer with the code word "what".

After this everything will be taken care of.

first.then she probably wouldn't have been arrested.

Yes I'm old school, so for the females... let me have it.

If she gets arrested it could hurt your reputation in the
long run brother.. let her go. You will do better and
learn from this bad mistake.

otherwise take the onslaught of a bad relationship, and
the chance she gets drunk and cries wolf to up you one.

ADDED: After reading the other post, I feel as if I am

My advice would be to sit on the couch and laugh yourself silly,laugh till your sides hurt and tears stream down your face.

Im going to make the assumption that no one was seriously hurt since you didnt mention anything and by the sounds of things she is not in any danger where she is.

It sounds like they will just keep her there till she cools down/sobers up and then send her on her way.

when you go pick her up laugh in her face and tell her shes an idiot (in a friendly way)

If this is a once off no biggy.
If this is a repeat occurrence, like everyone else said dude run the feck away while you still can. Use the time shes locked up to relocate and change your identity

Walk up and down a little bit, but only so that if they notice you slow and look casual. Get them to do this about 4 or 5 times. Once you're sure they are aware that you're acting anxious, start lipping off. Get mouthy. When one looks at you, pull that "BLARRRRHH!!" face and keep it till he looks down, shaking his head. Then yell really loud.. Once.. TO make them all look at once, but stare down at the floor and sneer.

Then when the big guy comes out and beats your senseless and you're screaming for mommie and the blood is going back up your nose as you're twirled in circles like a human baton, swallow it once, and then turn green.

As you're placed back on the floor, the cold feels so comforting now, and those ankles sure hurt a lot less.

That's how I saw it on Liveleak once.

Where I live it is mandatory that, if arrested for any drunk offence, you have to stay in the drunk tank for 8 hours.

If this is her first offence they should let her out after a certain time frame. Be patient brother I know you are worried.

I may be the only female posting on this thread, but I have to agree with the men. Ditch her.

Let me share a little story with you. My ex husband had a girlfriend who sounds a bit like yours. Often drunk, picked up by the cops for drunk and disorderly behavior, just a real piece of work. Weekends were for drunken fights complete with holes being punched in walls and heavy objects flying. Oh, let's not forget the loud screaming and all the fun that goes with that.

He finally had enough and told her to move out. She went through the motions of moving her stuff out and waited until he fell asleep. Then she shot him point blank in the chest with a .38, and waited approximately 1/2 an hour for him to die before calling 911.

People who exhibit poor control over their emotions and are often drunk are a danger to other people. Women who exhibit this behavior are in the minority, and the women's prisons are full of them. Is this what you want in your life? Drunken violence and the cops? Only you can answer that question.

As one mentioned, there will likely be a fine, and they'll cool her off in the pokey for a night or two...not much a lawyer can do for you here..

Enjoy the free time, get some video game time in, watch some porn...enjoy it man, jeez....

I would pawn all her stuff and then move. It would teach her a valuable life lesson about drinking too much and trusting you alone with her things.
