The think tank was seen as a sign of Gingrich’s clout in Washington. It is part of the vast empire of lucrative projects that he abandoned when he became a presidential candidate.

In its bankruptcy filing, obtained by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the group says it has $50,001 to $100,000 in assets and $1 million to $10 million in liabilities.

Among the creditors listed are Gallup, Gingrich Productions and Moby Dick Airways, a private jet company that is a Gingrich favorite. Newt 2012 Gingrich’s presidential campaign, owed Moby Dick more than $75,000 as of the end of February.

Granted, Newt's been out of the race for a while now... but this is just not what I would call fiscally conservative.

And what kind of blanket number is "$1 million - $10 million"?

Oh well, when in debt, rent another private jet... right Newt?

Who cares? It's their own money. You should be getting pissed at all the green energy companies getting guaranteed govt loans from Obama for billions and then filing bankruptcy.

You are going off the assumption that I'm not upset at O'bummer and his shady green energy grants.

But with an election coming up, I'm looking at everyone's spending habits...

And from the looks of this, I wouldn't want either in office...
