Kony 2012 founder arrested for public masturbation

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Christian filmmaker behind the Internet’s most recent famous activism campaign, “Kony 2012,” has been arrested. For masturbating. And being drunk. And vandalizing cars. In public. In the morning.

I'm gonna go ahead and politely tell you that there have been at least 5 threads on this. Just search "kony arrested" or "kony masturbation". Now maybe people won't be as rude as they were in other reposts earlier.

I just hope that (if this is actually true), will go viral as fast as their Kony video did.
After all, the world should see all sides of this story.

If you use a search engine, you will find several reputable sources. And here is a statement from CEO of Invisible Children.

1:45 PM PST: The CEO of Invisible Children, Ben Keesey, tells TMZ ..."Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition." The statement continues, "He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday." "Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.”

He was not arrested for public masturbation, he was detained and taken to a mental facility. There are no plans to press any charges for anything. One person claimed he "could have been" masturbating but this was not confirmed by the police. His mental state was such that in lieu of arrest he was taken for medical attention. The original story I read has been retracted and these new details added.

Anyway who needs to press charges? He broke the law. If he isn't punished as similar offenders are, then the situation will likely get worse. Lucky for him, he has plenty of Kony income to spend on a good lawyer.

because that's the confirmed exact intersection he was arrested at...

thats drugs, i've seen videos of similar events, there's no way thats dehydration or anything but drugs.
