Well I'm sure you know Miles Davis. I like to listen to The Dave Brubeck Band when I study. John Coltrane is another.

I'm also interested in seeing what ATS recommends. Been looking for some suggestions too recently.

But, I will contribute this masterpiece:

Allan Holdsworth is a great guitarist who often gets overlooked, you should check out his album Flat Tire, and if you want a more classical jazzy sound check out his album None Too Soon.

Of course there are the legends, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Cannonball Aderley, and Django Reinhardt who were all famous back in the 30's and 40's. Also you have Robert Johnson who played delta blues and has been the main influence for many rock groups and different artists over the past 80 years.

That's some pretty interesting music.

Sounds like something I would hear in a Cantina in Star Wars.

I enjoy Dave Brubeck, but that's sort of entry level.
