Came across this video about a unique set of Israelites, who live as muslims...the Pashtuns living in Afghanistan and north west Pakistan.

The video talks about how the Pashtun way of life closely resembles that of the Old Testament Israelite. The video also explains many similarities between Israelites and Pashtuns...from clan names to practises to social laws and so on. It also shows artifacts written in Aramaic, found in pashtun territory.

Some of the visuals in this clip are indeed astounding... like as if a place from the Old Testament era somehow time-warped into the 21st century.

Interesting possibilties, given that the Assyrians took the northern Israelites into exile, and in their case there wasn't a "return".
Howver, the use of Aramaic is less significant. Aramaic was not restricted to the Jews, but had a much wider usage in the time of the Persian empire.

This idea mentioned in the thread title was introduced to me in the early seventies, in a book, Flashman (which I currently have a copy of) by George MacDonald Fraser, where the hero of the book has to disguise himself as a native, back in the mid eighteen hundreds in British run India, and chooses this tribe to pretend to be a member of because it would explain his blue eyes. He was trying to seduce an English woman he met while using this disguise and explained to her that he was descended from ancient Israelites.

IMO These Israelite muslims carry a lot of prophetic significance.
Anything that involves biblical "Israel" is not just confined to the modern day state of Israel.... but should also include these large populations of "other" Israelites.

Well, yeah, He's promised to re-gather them from all corners of the globe. Worldwide. There will be people from all tribes, tongues, and nations before the throne of God singing His praises.
