Apathy Rampant

Sure it's cigarettes,that has been known to be harmful, but noone should have this kind of authority over someone else, especially out of vindictiveness. What happened to us anybody know? Why didn't we wake up sooner? Little by little we're losing a freedom we ever had. The idea that so few who complain about things are the ones getting the notoriety and having something "done" about it is frightening. What's next? Passing gas in public? Imagine the fines they could rake in on that one.

A town in California is proposing to ban smoking outside, even for residents lighting up on their own property.Smoking is already banned indoors in public places in most of the country, and in California it is illegal to smoke in parks and playgrounds too.

The town of Rocklin, near Sacramento, could take the draconian regulations further by extending them to private property as well.


The unusual legislation was prompted by a local family annoyed with their neighbour smoking outside and causing smoke to waft near their house.

Are you sure you don't mean apathy?

So we pollute the waters and the soil and the skies, put preservatives and junk in our food and drink, and contaminate the drinking water with chemicals meant to purify the water, but not meant to nutrify our bodies...

...and we're worried about a little tobacco smoke?

I see how it is.

Reminds me of a video I saw today from someone else..

the guy was saying "And we're not allowed to smoke outdoors... or indoors.. for our health?.. No it's not... Can we STILL BUY SMOKES? Sure... Can we Smoke them anywhere? Noooo.."

Our health is a catch cry.

control is the reason... left hand wants money, right hand wants to take it away.

The more they try to make laws banning smoking, supposedly for harm to health reasons, the more I want to keep smoking.

Stop smoking!! But keep drinking the fluoridated tap water, eat those GMO foods, love your Aspartame, die honorably in a war of profit & conquest, keep voting in circles, and always agree with the official stories.

You know you'd get more replies/hits if you listed the title of the article in your title.

And maybe posting it in the civil/social issues forum?
