Middle East Issues or Media ... not sure ....

CNN Fired all it's Israeli Jewish Journalists but kept the Arab Journalists.
Well ... Maybe. Did they or didn't they? Accusations and denials.
And if they did, why would they fire the Israeli Jews and just keep the Arabs?
Those are the questions being asked and discussed around the internet.

This article names those Israeli Jews fired ....
Dreuz Info - CNN Israel Fired All Israeli Jewish Journalists

What goes beyond good management is that CNN has fired four Israeli Jewish journalists (out of a crew of 8), and has retained only Arab journalists. Where, until now, CNN always sent a Jewish and an Arab journalist to cover information, now there will be only an Arab journalist. The local chief editor of the News Chanel is now a non Jewish (when we first learned that the new bureau chief was not Jewish, we misconcluded that he was an Arab, but he is neither Jewish or Arab).

This is a conflict where information is central to public opinion, and it weighs a lot on diplomatic decisions. Furthermore, it is no secret that Arab journalists cannot freely publish what they want without risking for their own lives when traveling to Gaza, East Jerusalem, and Judea Samaria. Thus, CNN decision to fire all Jewish journalists from its Jerusalem office is of particular concern, because the general public is unaware that they will be receiving biased information from CNN.

The comments left by people at the bottom of the article were interesting.

CNN Statement

CNN has recently reviewed its worldwide operations, an exercise we do regularly to ensure operational and technological efficiency in everything we do. As part of this exercise, we have reorganized the CNN bureau in Jerusalem. ... CNN currently has seven employees working in CNN's Jerusalem bureau, four of whom are Jewish. There is no basis in fact for these reports."

"Some website reports also state that CNN's Jerusalem bureau chief is Arab, which is also untrue."

"CNN strongly rejects any suggestion that the reorganization in the Jerusalem bureau is in any way based on the small number of contract employees concerned being Israeli, particularly given CNN’s long history of working with locals in the region."

If you look at the wording .. it says that the Jerusalem bureau has 7 Israeli Jews .. but it doesn't say that any of them are reporters. They could be janitors for all we know. They did not fully answer the charge against them.

Back and forth correspondence between investigative reporter Gadi Adelman and CNN on this matter

Being ATS we can debunk or verify and figure out a motive for what's going on with this.

Sounds suspect to me.

If CNN is denying it, then I suppose it did not happen like that. They are the ones who would know after all.

They are and they aren't denying it. They confirm that Jewish Israelis were fired and that the Arabs were kept. But they refuse to admit that ALL the Jewish Israeli journalists were let go and only the Arab ones kept. CNN keeps saying that they still employ Jewish Israelis there .. but none of them are Journalists and that is what CNN is keeping under wraps. They could be janitors or 'lunch ladies' for all we know.

CNN went to a total Arab viewpoint in Israel. Supposedly journalists are not supposed to have a point of view, but only report the news. But we know better. The truth is there is bias everywhere, and CNN just stacked the deck some more in Israel. Will anyone be able to get unbiased news reporting from CNN out of Israel? The answer seems to be 'no'.

Considering that MSM doesn't tell you everything and edits some things, who really knows? For all we know that story could be backwards. Way too much media censorship for me to trust anything or even believe half of it.

It's just odd. You'd think that since they've known all these years that they had to have both sides covering the same story over there in order to keep it real, that they wouldn't stack the deck with the Arab side and totally wipe out the Israeli side. Looks like an agenda .... more spin coming ...

perhaps they are preparing for a middle eastern war where israli reporters and staff would be liablitys or cause provocation? and they have only been temporarily reassigned or shipped off to safer areas?
