Was he trying to overthrow the government? What is wrong with people? I hope the police didn't fatally shoot him, he deserves to sit in jail for a while. Middletown is about 40 minutes north of me. I was in traffic court not too long ago in my town, this stuff is just scary! Do they not use metal detectors in their court room? I know they implemented metal detector screening in my local court about 2 years ago! Until then there were no searches or screening, you can just walk right into the court room and shoot the judge!

Some would say this is news, but unfortunally this is all too common now. Sad thing is the MSM reports this stuff all the time. People get arrested, thrown in prison then you never hear about it again until the next crazy with a gun busts in somewhere and starts shooting...

Sometimes I wish we could just hit the RESET button...

[EDIT] Keep us posted if something new comes up. I am blocked to most news sites at work.

There is generally a reason behind why people just "snap".
Maybe this individual feels he was bullied, maybe by an officer or a judge.
If this person feels that he is being oppressed, it is his right and duty to replenish the tree.
If people feel this is wrong, I suggest maybe you are in the wrong country.
Hint: this sort of action is becoming more commonplace.

Yea well if the guy starts shooting randomly how is that helping anything? If he was oppressed by an officer or judge shouldn't he be shooting at them? Seems like another case of an enraged man going crazy and just randomly shooting. If you are telling me this is acceptable i'm not in the wrong country, i'm on the wrong planet!

Impossible! Courthouses are gun-free zones.

That aside, last time somebody did something crazy at a courthouse around here it was over a child support ruling.

Somehow this guy feels that the courts, not necessarily this specific court, have screwed him. Whether they did or didnt we may never know.

People dont just wake up one day at the end of their rope. There is a long slide before you get that far down.

Speaking from personal experience the government has a tendency to push. Malicious or benign it pushes far more than it helps.

I couldn't agree more. This is just getting sickening. If only my Grandpa was still around he would have a few choice words for this world right now...

I disagree sir.
If your Grandpa was the man I'm sure he was, he and my Grandpa and several other Grandpa's would have stormed the problems at hand and dealt with them.
Us not so much as we are much softer than previous generations, all of this technology and not a bit of testosterone to be found.

Very true, he would have dealt with the problems. I was just saying he would have something to tell me and a few things he would have to say, but you are right he would have dealt with them.

My Grandpa was a WWII vet (as I am sure most were/are) I don't think he would do it all over again knowing what the future holds...

Nonsense.
Many will say they never would but that is why the allies prevailed.
No matter how much the soldiers complained, they still got the job done and would do so a thousand times again.
This is why they were better than us, they persevered, we just watch 14 and pregnant and forget about the days worries.
If more people took their futures as serious as the previous generations did, alot less people would feel the urge to go on a shooting spree.
Grandma used to say, "An ounce of prevention".
