It's a beautiful image alright. Someone posted it a day or two claiming it was some kind of spaceship or something. Thankfully ATS has Phage and similar knowledgeable individuals who can debunk it in a single line.

ETA As for download tracking, I'm sure it's quite a normal thing for many webservers, even NASA. It's nice to know how much bandwidth is used.
