Warning to Escape Babylon’s Judgment - Revelation 18:4-8
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her, my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5 for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.
7 Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
‘I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;[c]
I will never mourn.’
8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

Yes, but which land was the center of trade in ancient times and which land stoned OT prophets? Which city did Jesus indict?
Why is New Jerusalem important? What about old Jerusalem?
I came to this conclusion after reading scripture carefully and researching Jerusalem. It is the city of seven hills. If you're going to ignore scripture to support your blind hatred of religion by all means go ahead. It is talking about Jerusalem, the whore who thinks she is queen and will know no sorrow because she is God's chosen.
And this was even before I believed in Catholicism. It doesn't mean church, it clearly says city.

For one thing the Vatican is not in seven hills, Rome is. For another Christ was crucified near Jerusalem. Anyone implicating the Catholic church is ignoring these things.
Now bring in the distinction between Rome and Vatican City—the city where the Catholic Church is headquartered—and Hunt’s claim becomes less plausible. Vatican City is not built on seven hills, but only one: Vatican Hill, which is not one of the seven upon which ancient Rome was built. Those hills are on the east side of the Tiber river; Vatican Hill is on the west.
