The process of undoing the MPS expense strict regime begun in 2011
www.telegraph.co.uk...

Tried finding this couldn't find it. I also read an article in the latter part of 2011 but couldn't find it saying that they have exactly the same system as before, this was literally a little tiny article hidden out of the way.

The media laid war on the government with the expenses
The government fought back with phone hacking scandal
- Now they have come to an uneasy truce? Or have the media backed down?

It hardly surprises me that the Conservative Party has decided to shove their collective snouts back into the trough, I always thought that they would wait until the fuss died down and then re-introduce the political glee club when they could get away with it. I note that the article says that the Committee has been told to make changes or the Government will issue legislation to make them change it.
I thought, perhaps naively, that these MPs are elected to serve their constituents, rather than getting as much as they can for themselves, it just goes to show the corruption at the highest level in the people that are supposed to be running this country.
At least the ducks will be happy to get their house back on the pond!
