Topic for a Story Wanted

I wonder if anyone can help me - I'm in the mood to write but am stumped for ideas at the moment.

I'd be really grateful for any suggestions for a topic for a short story.

Don't be offended if I don't take up your suggestion any time soon, sometimes an idea needs to fester for a few weeks or months before I can shape it into a story.

Perhaps I should add that I don't write stories for any commercial gain.

i have a story i would like for you to tackle - i wrote about it on ats and another site - this other site was going to produce a documentary on the subject; however, i think they were out to get the object i found - they succeeded and then the project was dead - if you are really interested you can pm me -

on the other site there were 2 writers, both worked for the DOD and the one writer took my object and that was the end of the story -

Pokoia - Thank you too, I had a look at your thread and your friend sounds like a very interesting person to talk to. One of my first stories was about someone making contact with an alien through the sort of methods your friend uses. I kept meaning to spruce it up a bit for ATS but now I've managed to lose the file with all the hard copies of my old stories

Yes my friend is interesting, but he will never ever talk about his experiences to unknown people.
I hope your creativity gets a kick-start now.
