Not sure if correct forum.

Just thinking how so often I heard judgemental comments about the "trailer trash" using credit cards to pay on the never-never to get things that they could never afford i.e. how the poor had TVs or satellite dishes etc.

And now here we are with our whole society realising that we were behaving exactly like those who used credit cards irresponsibly. Our system was based on borrowing money that can never be repaid in order to develop luxurious cities/homes/cars/roads etc

It just seems that all of us were being hypocritical when judging the poor who aspired to material wealth.

I guess we owe the "trailer-trash" people a big apology as they were just copying our behaviour i.e. the religion of more.

Sorry about this - BUT

You should entertain the idea of a possible change of title.

I'm not judgemental towards what you term "trailer trash". I'm judgemental towards people who lend poor people money knowing very well that it makes it worse for them. I'm judgemental towards the televison networks who allow commercials on their networks that clearly is misleading people into debt.

AND

I'm judgemental towards whole societies that shout about the "home of the free" and "land of opportunity" when it only means that you climb the social and financial ladders by trambling poor people underfoot.

And my wife and I don't buy if we don't have the money. Simple as that. No debt.

This society is only capitalist in gain and socialist in loss. It should throw Keynesian economics in the trash can.
