The band Mourning Wood was born out of the Branch Davidian of Onset, Mass. Powered by the driving rhythm section of Brett Zell and Pete Thompson, the impassioned keyboard licks of Steve Massa, the dynamic fret play of Greg Powers and Chris Ingraham and Greg's powerful kick ass vocals. Our inspiration came from heavy, soulful blues-oriented rock i.e. The Stones, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, The Crowes, etc. The Archetypes of our youth.
