LAX; what happened?

Either I'm blind or it's disappeared but what happened with all the talk about explosions at LAX?

Was it terrorism?

I saw nothing on my news here in the UK.

Well, in typical American fashion everyone overreacted. First some guy went up the down escalator, then someones bags got checked that had a flashlight with old batteries in it. It went boom. nothing exciting though. Doesnt stop us from shutting the whole place down though. I love it here.

I believe the offical explanation to be a torch exploding inside an X-ray machine, causing injuries.

Wrong. It was a flashlight my friend. This happend to us when we were kids.

European -> torch or electric torch
N. American -> flash light.
