The Gulf of Mexico oil leak is a ticking bomb!!

We all followed it - Watched the ROV's with amazement, and read the BS eminating from the BP camp. Then they sealed it... and by doing so insured that their case for responsibility was secure. Any future leaking from the site wouldn't be their fault - Tosh!

Well, (pardon the pun) but whilst we've moved on to other more current events, this time bomb is still ticking and that's aside of the pollution that is still killing off the sea life.

This outrageous event needs to be kept in all our minds - (Kat did a great job back then) and that's why I'm posting this link, which seems to strongly indicate that the pressure below ground is so strong that its forcing oil up around the pipe and along vents and finally up through the seabed. BP are saying (as expected) it's nothing to do with them, but if the pressure erodes enough area around the pipe, no amount of re drilling will contain the eruption and all the oil that's deep down in that seam will blast its way to the surface - and that's not forgetting the gas that's down there!

This is a major potential nightmare event and the cover up continues!

I appreciate updates on this situation, as a Texan and as a believer in our responsibility to take care of the environment...

But is there another source for this besides a website that is completely dedicated to this one event, and would become defunct if it didn't come up with something?

The story seemed a a little thin. There was no information on this professor who was quoted, or any corroborating information. A lot of information that should have been there, just wasn't.

yeah I haven't forgotten,even though everyone around me has.I grew up in La. and that state has always been screwed by big oil,but this time it isn't just La..Admittedly this scenario scares the s**t out of me.If this thing breaks as thought we are all screwed.And they will lie to us as we are dying,as long as profits don't drop what the hell do they care(BP et al)they can afford to leave.

a quick google search gave this information.

a major earthquake would most likely kill the golf of mexico forever, even if only one percent of wells were affected.

the gulf coast is not the place to invest your life savings.
better to move before your heart is broken.

Sounds familiar...

I think of Edgar Cayce's prediction of the Great Lakes emptying into the Gulf...
Everytime I hear about that disaster, that's all I think of.

Because if it builds up enough pressure, then releases...at any given second...
The results would be disasterous.

And it may very well force all the water from the Great Lakes to the Gulf.

From what I've read and watched, I believe this is an event that will affect us all. The GOM is an important area for all of us, forming part of the Atlantic Conveyor, it's death will upset the global currents and the world temperatures.
Added to which,there is enough gas down there, that if it erupts, it will blow the floor out of the GOM and sure enough the great lakes will run into it!

Forget meteors or Asteroids. This world will either end or be permanently changed by the hand of man, not the universe. We have screwed up our planet and the GOM is possibly going to be the biggest disaster the world has ever known - Why? because we drilled into hades and we shouldn't have, and nothing we have to give can repair that damage. To me, it's not a question of IF but of WHEN.

I agree. The "media eye" has turned it's focus elsewhere. Bad news on someone's door step. Who wants to keep hearing the same old droll about it? That is exactly what they wanted. We are so bored of the repetitive useless info bombardment by the Media that we tune it out now. Oh, the BP thing. Oh, the Fukushima thing. Oh, the OWS thing.

I agree that the situation down there at the well head is unknown and downplayed... same with all the oil they sunk with dispersant. It's still out there, waiting for a good sized storm to bring a bunch a shore and muck up the coastline. Or for it to slowly migrate around the oceans of the world destroying eco systems as it goes. Does any one have any studies that were done to tell us how much total oil is believed to have "leaked"?. That we could be enlightened with a layman's view that says something like "The BP oil disaster is like putting a drop of oil in every gallon of ocean water around the world". Of course they haven't done that because the news is ongoing bad and they don't want you actually knowing that .

From what i understand, there are all sorts of natural oil leaks through fractured seabed in that area anyway. What proof is there that this leak is related to BP in particular?

I think if you read the evidence and the fact the oil leaking is a 99.9% match to the oil at the original leak, you will see it has to be connected.

Ckitch, I am behind you on this. It seems like we are a society that suffers from the ostrich-head-in-the-sand virus. Pretend its not gonna blow up in our faces and damage the beautiful ocean if we pretend it is not still there, lurking in the dark.

Ugggg. I was very angry and deeply disturbed when the Golf oil spill happened. But even more outraged at the highly stuff they used afterwards to cover it up. What was it called again? Corex was it? Grrrrrr....

Fair enough but it doesn't change the fact the entire sea bed in that area is unstable - no oil should be drilled there at all by anyone.......

I too am deeply hurt by what has gone on, as I am with all global destruction.

It saddens me to think of how wonderful the planet would be if man did not exist, and how in such a minute space of time we have done so much damage.

How did we ever get to the stage where we stopped thinking that it was in our interests to live in harmony with nature and to protect the world around us - When did we decide it was OK to pollute and destroy?

I'm not a Native American, although I feel very connected with their past ways, and too me, they new how to respect their surroundings... I wish I could have been in charge of 'man' from the beginning!

I guess as we didn't originate from here, we have little deep rooted spiritual connection, and thanks to the monetary system what connection there was has long gone for most.

This oil disaster typifies our attitude to the planet.

The Gulf of Mexico and Fukushima are the two single largest out of control science experiments ever conducted on humans. I gave up any sea food that even had a remote chance of swimming through the gulf the day I heard about Corexit being dumped by the millions of gallons.

Then Fukushima happened, Now WTF do I eat that I can be certain is not poisoned? The answer is nothing......

I do what I can to eat organic as often as possible even though it is likely that is poisoned as well. My entire life I have eaten as little as possible anyway as I knew when I was a child that processed food was pure garbage.

We cannot avoid the poisons we can simply limit how much of them we stuff into our bodies. We will all die of a cancer or organ failure as I am certain that between Fuku, the gulf and all the other crap we have been made to accept as normal.

First rule of food, do not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup in it. I used to love soda, still do. Now when the craving hits I drink a Mexican Coke. They actually still make those with cane sugar! Radioactive cane sugar

I'm so with you on all you say. It's a nightmare. We have so little say or control over what we can eat.
Money drives the food market, not quality or nutrition. (Lets not forget Monsanto).

We are fooled into thinking supermarkets have our interests at heart - Tosh! Their products are designed for shelf life and profit. What's more, the governments of this world want us dumbed down and malnourished. That's why McD's etc exist like they do - its all crap and we are conned into thinking its good or OK for us.

If we are kept malnourished it will assist in our eventual demise (global population reduction plan).

Yes, Fukushima - who knows what's happening there?? we don't. Our seas are poisoned, as is our air.
It's fair to say our days on this planet are numbered.

I avoid additives and junk food as best I can, but it's a battle and the like of GOM and Fukushima have got me snookered! WTF are we doing? Even the 1% Illuminati tribe have to eat and breathe!!!!

I was wondering if events like the leaking oil from the Santa Barbara channel would exaserbate from a large earthquake.

Is it possible? Anyone know of oil flows caused by natural events liek an earthquake?

Thanks for that article from Baird... that was informative. I wonder if fresh oil washing up is indicative of new leaks as oil mixed with dispersant has a different texture? Like you said, they drilled to hell and left the faucet on too...

What, are you serious? That would never happen!

It's not like BP, the investigation, and those who have spoken out against BP have seen a share of unexplained, or strange deaths.... get out of town.
