SURELY Americans have got to realise that their current system is broken and failing, that they need something new and that Ron Paul is the only candidate offering true change to this failing system? SURELY Americans by now have realised that at the very least he is an honest, consistant man who wants to give YOU the people more power in what happens to YOUR government from local to to state level.

Im not American, but i have lived there and i say this from the heart, i love your country, i love the people and i for one think the constitution is one of the most beautiful documents ever written. Please, for the love of god and everything you Americans hold dear, do whatever you can to protect it and support anyone who respects it as truly as the likes of Ron Paul. He's not perfect, but he is as near as can be, he will protect the constitution and give you more say in what your government does in your name.

This is a crucial point in American history, your generation has the power to take America back from the power and banking elites from when Woodrow Wilson sold you out, a chance to claw back a real democracy.

Good luck, i hope you make the right choice......... as i fear we may not meet again if its the latter

Hooray for those words of wisdom from 'across the pond'!

We can only hope that Americans will not be duped by the main stream media into making another big mistake again! The MSM constantly ignore or attempt to dismiss Ron Paul in some lame manner which is utterly disgraceful on their part.

Your absolutely right - our only hope is a true return to Constitutional values and principles and Ron Paul is the only guy on the horizon that than get us there. Otherwise, we'll end up sinking into the stinking Socialist pool of failure.

For the sake of America and the world, I hope people wake-up and take your sound advice!

masonic controlled opposition

Any president who actually did try to break out and go in a different direction from what the bankers want would be JFKed right quick by those same bankers. But like I said RP = masonic fraud.

It wouldnt even bother me if i thought he was the son of satan, if he ends the federal reserve and protects the constitution hes still the much better of two evils.

No, its another thread where a person uses a popular social medium to express a belief or view important to them, with like minded people who otherwise would be unreachable. Im not trying to fall into any Ron Paul thread cliche here, just genuinely concerned with whats happening around the world and feel the need to support someone who will truly protect one of the most beautiful documents ever written.

Yes I do believe Dr. Paul is the only one that can bring this sinking ship afloat. But the deck is stacked against him just because he doesn't repeat the same rhetoric that all the others and the one in the seat now spew. So he has no chance no air time and when he dose get air time he is just a punch line or a running joke in the MSM. Because he speaks out of the box and folks dont like that. Obama spoke of change yes, but Paul's change is against what Obama, Bush and so on have had in place since long before most of us even took or first breath and thats what scares the crap out of most voters. There have been a few that spoke out against the establishment but sadly they were silenced. Now with technology and info moving at the speed of light its hard to pull of a assassination of a candidate or the one in office so just paint him/her as crazy or just plain stupid and no one will listen. Sadly from the MSM that is what's happening to Ron Paul being reduced to the ramblings of an old fool.

The duopoly we call the electoral system is just a monopoly "the lesser of to evils" is all we have had for a very long time. When some candidate speaks of change its just to get their foot in the door and when they are in they can just "make it up as they go a long" so to say. See we (the US) do nothing when or elected officials go back on their words and some times just flat out lie. If the citizens of the US would hold their candidate or leader accountable for their actions and I mean "Hold their feet to the fire". Not this hole he said she said or its Bush's fault or its Obama's fault, Lincon did it so why couldn't LBJ crap. "IT'S OUR FAULT!" that these bas-tards are or were ever elected.

Thank you for your concern, but maybe you should worry about what is happening with the EU before any advice is offered.

Ron Paul isn't going to save squat. How many times do i have to keep telling you people that all politicians are liars? They smile and wave and make promises to get in office and then they do absolutely nothing of what they promised but actually do the opposite.

Definition of Politics: the art of telling bigger and better lies over your opponents in order to obtain a specific goal for a specific agenda.

Politicians have been proving for nearly 200 years that all they can do is lie. They engage in smear campaigns, bribery (called lobbyism) and out right lying. So basically you want criminals to run the worlds governments. And people wonder why the world is in the toilet...

Its way past that!!

Politics is finished, the Americans can vote for whoever they like but it wont change a thing. The corporation has bought off the people who matter.
Things like "occupy" and "anonymous" are the only way forward if we are going to grip this world and pull it back from the brink of disaster. Every day deals are being done and consolidations made that erode the very idea of liberty and freedom for anyone who isn't in "their" private members club. In Greece an unelected non-MP BANKER!! has been put in charge of the whole country and this is being reported all over the world as perfectly acceptable

There is no doubt in my mind that a major shift of ideology is happening right now, our leaders are no longer working to build a brighter future for all but instead working to create a utopia for themselves and their rich friends. Make no mistake, they do not care about us, we are nothing more than the workforce that is going to build the utopia for them

Forget the politics they offer for it is an illusion of choice. If you want change then join or at the very least support the occupy protest.

Viva la Revolution!!

I do worry about it, i worry about the oppression humans are experiencing all round the world and the E.U crisis is a very concerning subject to me, but wether you see it or not, were all in this together. Our countries are intimately tied together in so many ways, if one fails the other is gonna suffer. I dont quite understand why my simple hearted view concerns or intimidates you enough to post a reply with the inent of telling me to worry about my own problems before i do yours. Should we then perhaps region lock parts of ats?

You must be working for Ron Paul because I’ve swear I’ve seen this EXACT post here on ATS before…word for word…..maybe a month ago. What gives?

Personally, I think Ron Paul loses the majority support because of his foreign policy stance. Anyone who believes in isolationism rather than proactive defense will not win election. I’m 100% behind him on economic issues, but he loses me at defense. A great economy would be wonderful but when your enemies are sharpening their swords and preparing for your demise you must act not react?

Our two systems are symbiotically linked now. We can't look at a countries political system with disdain or with the aloof knowledge that whatever happens, it won't affect us.

I just hope that whomever gets the nod, does something for the positive.

Because Obama is going to ruin this country if he remains.

Never mind the EU - Scotland has some of the highest drug use in the world. Second only to Iran on a pro rata basis. One in three households in Glasgow have no-one working in it. Quality of life is non-existent for the average household. One in three of those who are working are employed in the public sector. (We are indeed a statist little nation)

We have students up to their eyes in debt holding worthless degrees and diplomas. We have corrupt little political dynasties that few in the population can even be bothered lifting their noses out of their beer glasses to pay any attention to.

We have the Scottish 'government' refusing to release legal advice on what would happen to Scotland's membership of the EU - or continued use of sterling should we gain independence.

If Scotland were a panacea of quality living in the modern world then perhaps it would be in a position to give advice...but we're up to our neck in a social, economic and political quagmire being held at bay and hidden from site in the hope the Scots will vote for independence from the UK....into the much better EU dictatorship.

I don't speak for anyone other than myself and all views expressed are mine soley.......just to clear that up. As for foreign policy, i can tell already when someone uses phrases like ''proactive defence'' that were obviously gonna have to agree to disagree. but id like for you for a moment to entertain the idea that what if China had been the superpower all these years, what if they had military bases accross American territories for reasons of protecting you and promoting freedom, carrying out the occasional drone attack to kill people they labled as terrorists without trial. Oh and of course there would be civilian casualties(quite a few actually) but thats a necessary cost for promoting freedom right? how would u feel?

This ''proactive defence'' attitude that has been practiced for many years now is not gaining you friends, unless you count the corrupt puppets that get put in place after whole countries get bombed. They always love to set up a new central bank really quickly while their country is still burning too, funny that, not that any of it would benifit the west at all of course........its all for their freedom right?

I personally believe that America has the resources, technology, and intelligence to have world class defence and strike capabilities against any country, from within its own borders and would be a lot safer for it.

Economic policy is the best form of foreign policy and the US would benefit more from the intelligent use of 'soft power' than it would killing a million more Bin Ladens.

The US became a superpower because of its economic strength.

Unfortunately, the US is currently the new USSR. The government has money to pay the politicians' salaries, the military budget, the paramilitary police budget and fix the cracks in the bridges but not much else. And until we somehow force China to stop pegging their currency to the dollar, China is going to be the only true power in this town.

I find the veneration of the US Constitution to be the albatross around humanities neck, forever reminding us that we're ignorant savages who need an enlightened father-figure to watch over us.

You Scots must have a pretty Hobbesian view of things to believe that anyone needs a government to protect their 'freedoms'.

I was speaking mostly about Ron Paul’s views on Iran. A country that has openly called for the destruction of the US (The Great Satan) and Israel (The Little Satan) cannot be allowed to have nukes if we plan on surviving as a nation for the next 100 years. Ron Paul has no problem with Iran having nukes. He does not understand radical Islam and the fact that they simply cannot be reasoned with. Obama has been playing that game with Iran and they have continued moving forward.

I personally believe that America has the resources, technology, and intelligence to have world class defence and strike capabilities against any country, from within its own borders and would be a lot safer for it.

What you describe is isolationism, which Ron Pauls wants. The US has people stationed around the world and within allied countries. That allows US to project power around the world in a very short time. This is a deterrent and part of a PROACTIVE DEFENCE. I never said anything about using drones on anyone. My idea of Proactive Defense is projecting power through our presence abroad and having the sense to use that power in certain circumstances in defense of our national security. I don’t believe Ron Paul would ever use force before an attack was launched against the US. In an age where one weapon can destroy and entire city and kill millions, Ron Paul’s wait and respond afterward approach is unacceptable to me.

In an ideal world, i agree, but unfortunatly we are not in an ideal world. The constitution is a perfect middle ground for allowing people personal freedom and a stepping stone in the right direction in terms of reducing the size of government and control.

If the constitution is properly upheld and only the bare minimum of government that is actually needed is in place.........what would be the problem? what couldnt you do that you could do in a country with no government? whilst still respecting your fellow man anyway.

You know we do have anti-missile batteries in Iraq and Afghanistan which can control the airspace out of Iran pretty effectively. This includes the MTHEL:

Israel also possesses this weapon system. Israel also has between 300-400 thermonuclear and tactical nuclear weapons. I think they can handle themselves pretty well and with the US bordering Iran from both the North and South and with our fleet stationed in striking range of all of Iran they would not play their only card against our overwhelming superior forces.

If we offer the Iranian government peaceful trade relations and the security that we will not smart bomb them back to the stone age they might come around. They do not represent nearly the radical Islam that the Saudi and other Sunni and Wahhabi nations do.

The US supported Al-Cia-du in Libya and now their flag flies over Tripoli. US foreign policy is all over the map with Islam. I think Ron Paul's approach is far more sane then this present system of kleptocracy, hubris, torture, denial of habeas corpus, killing civilians world wide when ever we want. That crap has got to stop and only Ron Paul will actually do it.
